Question Was that the Penguin on Gloria?

Gloria, spin off of All in The Family, was on today and I saw this man that sounded like The Penguin, anyone know if it was him? He looked different he had blonde hair and was skinny so I'm not sure if it was him or not.

That was indeed Burgess Meredith. He sure didn't look like the Penguin on Gloria. Silver Daze, have you seen any of the episodes of the Twilight Zone with Burgess in it? He was great in every one of his appearances. He was in four episodes of TZ. Printers Devil, Time Enough at Last, The Obsolete Man, and Mr. Dingle, the Strong are the ones he's in.

I noticed that also, I could notice some simularities but very few, I wasn't sure that was him either. Anyways, His Penguin years were way behind him, so I can imagine how much he has changed over the years.

Default Burgess- later years

The next time Grumpy Old Men comes on, you guys have to catch that movie if you haven't seen it already. Burgess is in that movie. I think he was in the sequel too, if I'm not mistaken. He is absolutely hilarious in it. I think the first movie was made around 1994 or so.

It has been months since I've seen TZ. It's still on Sci Fi right? I will go to Sci Fi's website and see if any of the episodes he is in are airing anytime soon. Thanks for the info btw.

I know what you mean. When did he go blonde? That is what threw me off from telling whether it was him or not.

They have this big TZ marathon every year during New Years and the 4th of July. They have part of the New Years schedule up, but they haven't finished the Jan 1st episodes. The episodes they have listed for the 31st don't have Burgess in it. They usually show at least one or two of his episodes. I hope you can atleast see some of them on the 1st. It is on Sci Fi.
