Mama's Family on ME-TV - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Not sure if this has been posted on this board previously, but just in case it wasn't, Vicki Lawrence announced recently on her FB page that ME-TV will be airing "Mama's Family" starting in January. Surprised that it took this long for one of the ever-growing number of retro TV digital networks to pick the show up.

I can't get MeTV but I'm so happy that MF has been picked up again for syndication. I was hoping that either TBS or WGN would pick it up but I own the complete series anyway so I'm not really worried about not getting to see it on TV.

But I'm so happy for those who don't own the complete series that they can see it in reruns. I love this show and it needs to be aired more.

I hope this means that WB is slowly starting to let their vintage series out of the pen for these retro stations to unearth again. Maybe ALICE, IT'S A LIVING, CHICO & THE MAN etc will be next.

I love Mama's Family. It is about time they get it on the Me-TV lineup. It's a very funny show.

I really feel Me-TV needs to revamp there afternoon lineup. Grant it I only get to watch these shows during the Summer as I am a teacher, but shows like Bonanza, The Rifleman, and Gunsmoke seem to have been around for ages.

So ME-TV will pick it up? I haven't seen it since it's broadcast on TBS i always wondered if ME-TV would pick it up or if Antenna TV would since it felt like a show that Antenna tv would air. But look's like us ME-TV viewers will get the show

I remember watching it on Pax/Ion TV around the same time they showed Alice. Maybe 8 years ago or so?

Way cool indeed! LOVE this show.... I hope once whatever station airs it.... it doesn't air it for like 2 months& then stop.... I cannot WAIT!!!! Got my DVR all ready 2 go!

When it comes to "Mama's Family", I consider myself a HUGE fan. I've seen every episode MANY times and love all of them. Even though I can't get this channel, I'm glad it's going to finally be aired again in syndication. "MF" is my all-time favorite sitcom!

Oh I'm sure they'll be the regular syndicated cuts. The original unedits have to be for DVD only.
