Marion annoying? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I've been watching the last few years of this series and maybe I'm being unfair but Marion is suddenly become annoying to me.

Whose idea was it to have her get so excited when J/C come home, when Richie comes home and she screams? Starting to not like Marion in that way.

What mother actually screams like that when her kid comes home?

i agree i could not stand that either i had to mute it everytimg she started screaming she did it lot more ofton then when the kids came home it was annoying.

It seems like very normal behavior to me for a mother to get excited when her grown children who have left home come back.

i totally agree there was no reason for that not like joanie was gone during same time as Richie n Ralph was her screaming got soo annoying and even scared poor Mr.C As well there was no need for her screaming.

I'm not liking Marion anymore right now...

Tonight's episode she acts goofy when Chachi tells her he wants to marry Joanie.

What have the writers done to her?

You know I was going to start a thread about this, but I agree. Was it me or was Mrs. C kind of daffy towards the end of the series? I did like when Chaciai was going to ask Joanie to marry him and she choked him, that was funny. It just seemed like with both kids gone, she got daffy. Maybe its a continuation of when she got rid of all the furniture and replaced it with that plastic furniture and she got that camper too. Maybe based on that empty nest syndrome she got daffy.
