Default Pav I noticed that N@N airs Family Matters a little differently than George Lopez

I noticed that there are TONS OF COMMERCIALS between commercial breaks when Family Matters is on N@N but when George Lopez is on N@N there are never 4-5 min breaks in between.

Have you noticed that?

It does seem that way...strange. Maybe because they don't really edit anything on GLo since it is already 21-22 min.

...I'd imagine with the way the commercial structure is set up between the two shows, the number of breaks Family Matters takes is shorter than George Lopez...but that because George takes breaks more often, the breaks it takes can then be shorter.

If you're dealing with, say, 8 minutes 30 seconds of ad time (program time 21:30), George might take 3-2-2-1:30, while Family Matters might only take two breaks, but those two breaks become 4:30 and 4:00. Family Matters only takes half as many breaks, but when they do the breaks are twice as long in order to have the same total ad time.

Yeah, that's correct. Confusing, but correct.

I've also noticed that Roseanne is still the old way N@N used to do things, the show has 2 breaks during the show but wraps at about :27 or :57 after, and then there's a break before the next episode starts.
