Back in May, NBC announced 13 new shows to its 2o10-11 season, and 10 of those have debuted and either failed or floundered, reports Joe Adalian in New York Magazine's Vulture blog. But what about the other three shows that remain unaired? Those have basically been canceled before they premiere, the story says.
While the shows are technically not dead, "Love Bites" won't air until this summer at the earliest and the other two shows, "Friends with Benefits" and "The Paul Reiser Show" won't get any serious debut until the season ends in May. According to the story, NBC's new programming chief Robert Greenblatt isn't fond of any of the projects, which were developed when Jeff Gaspin and Angela Bromstad were still in charge of programming the network. The article notes that that it's likely the three orphan shows will be burned off in the summer. http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/tvbizwire/ |
