Eastland and real schools like it, such as Westlake have a minumum age of 12. Blair was that age when she entered Eastland. Tootie was 12 in Season 1 and Season 2. Eastland had a different calendar then elsewhere on earth. They have different entrance exams for different ages and grades.

Thanks very much for the info. Had a feeling it was something like that. Only reason I asked was because I once saw in the library a prep book for High School Entrance exams.(I guess maybe to see if a student qualifies to go to a special HS for Science, etc.) Didn't get a good look at it, but was just always wondering. Now I know.
