Good Times was very groundbreaking in the 70's. Having a LGBTQ character like Willona becoming a Lesbian would have made it even more groundbreaking.
The closest we got to a LGBTQ character was when Mandy acted like she was flirting with Thelma in a retelling if how the couch caught on fire.
