Skippy was harmless. I could see why someone might find him annoying at times, but I don't know why anyone would hate him. He wasn't a regular character and never took over the show unlike Urkel from Family Matters which ended up ruining that show in the long run.

I agree. Skippy wasn't in all the episodes. I liked the episodes that he was in. There are a few from Season 3 that I really enjoy.
