I cancelled my subscription to Pay-TV six years ago this upcoming January 2nd after accumulating enough DVDs to watch them for more than a year (At the rate of four hours each evening). Three months earlier (September 30, 2006) I grew FED UP with Cable TV when I saw an air for Vigra DURING A CHILDREN'S SHOW! I too was a Sports Fan, but I learned to do without (If there is a Game I want to see, there's a Sports Pub within walking distance of my house, a $6.00 Glass of beer is $123.00 CHEAPER than a month of Pay-TV!). And I know I'm not alone, in the last two years 3,000,000 Households have "Cut the Cord", a number that's certainly to rise next year after the next wave of price increases (Somebody has to pay for all those Sports Contracts by ESPN and other Sports networks). I don't miss it at all, the $65.00 I used to pay for Cable (in 2006) has since been re-allocated to purchase more DVDs, and all you have to do is look at my signature to see how well I have done with that money.
