I also think Sunday Night Football is responsible for a lot of it. They draw great ratings and get the best games because of the flex scheduling. So there in a good position whenever you get the NFL on your network. Also, I think believe or not, Norte Dame being very good this year has helped them as well because a lot of people are watching Norte Dame this year.

Based on what I've seen below with the ratings w/o The Voice, NBC needs a couple of shows to anchor The Voice because what if The Voice ratings falter? What do you do then?

The sports fan in me will say they should pick up more sports. The NHL is on strike but I can see them picking up some Big East basketball or any sports when it becomes available. They might have to go that route because nothing else seems to work. Eventually, no matter how good the shows are, if nobody watches them, they'll get cancelled.
