Since the American Film Market is just around the bend, a lot of information is hitting the horror scene as production companies prepare for next week's event.
A synopsis for
The Evil Dead redo has hit AFM materials and reads like this:
"
Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival."
Bloody-Disgusting says the reason the friends hit the cabin this time is to help one of their own kick a drug addition. Likely a small sub-plot.
Fede Alvarez is going to direct the film; Alvarez, Rodo Sayagues and Diablo Cody are credited for script duties.
