Most of my wrestling videos, a fair amount of CDs, and quite a few comics I own have come from e-bay.
Overall, the people on e-bay are an honest sort. everything I've recieved has been in good shape. The comics look great, the CDs are cool (the cases might need replacing, but the CDs are fine), and the videos are in great shape.
Money Order is the way I usually pay. the people will ship stuff faster with a money order than with a personal check. But either are fine. However, if you have something like paypal (an online check/credit service), that's probably the best way to go.
Most stuff takes about a week and a half or two to get, depending on where you live in relation to the seller and method of payment.
Oh, and two things... never bid on an auction with a reserve, and don't buy much in the summer. Right now, in the winter, the mail is alright. But last summer, so many things got lost or the payments never got to the people that it made me give up e-bay for a while.
