"I Love Lucy" and its immediate one-hour secessor "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour" together ran just as long as "Happy Days". And because it morphed into a hour-long version for the last three years, it's really more of an accomplishment. But beyond the mere numbers, Lucille Ball dominated television to an incredible extent. When she became pregnant and gave birth to "Little Ricky" the whole world was watching. There's never been anything like it since. (In television that is...The Beatles did the same thing to music)
So yes, there is a sitcom which ran just as long and had a greater impact than "Happy Days".
Now don't kill the messenger, I like "Happy Days" better too. And it did have more spin-offs than "I Love Lucy".
