I didn't want to change schools, and since it was only one bus away, I didn't transfer. I graduated from Medford High School, went to my boyfriend's prom there, and my own prom from Medford High.

I moved out of Arlington when I was 21, to another town. From that point on, I've lived in a various cities and towns. Whenever I meet someone new, and they ask where I'm from, I tell them Medford. My husband thinks I'm from Arlington, even though I never went to school there, never worked there, or made a single friend there. He thinks that since I lived there for my teen years, that's what counts. I think you're "from" wherever your heart is, your friend's were, your memories, etc.

Who's right?

I think you are. BTW, gots lots of relatives in Malden, Swampscott, Needham, Sharon, Attleboro, Newton--so I know Boston & the burbs a bit.
