I don't know but I think he is. I read an interview where Sean says he doesn't get into that because he doesn't want to be typecast. He made some sort of remark that when people see Ellen DeGeneres, all they think is, she's gay.
He's got the, don't ask, don't tell, thing going on, which I think is a wise decision on his part. Will & Grace won't last forever, and he's looking at his career for the long-term.
If he was straight, I think he'd say it in a second.
