I meant it seemed to go out in the 90's. I know there's always good stuff, but its mostly ignored by the mainstream. Craig Chaquico I liked in the 90's, but have you heard of him? I only heard him on Smooth jazz radio.

in 20 years, the current generation will be saying how the 00's were awesome for music

I really don't think so. At least not the hits. Hits come and go 'cause there catchy for a week, but lack substance. Alot of great songs from past decades were never hits.
Remember "Two of Hearts"? Didn't think so. It made Stacie Q a star. A year later she was gone. BTW, the song was cheap crap. I didn't like much music in the 80's at a teen, but I'm liking it more all the time.
How 'bout current big hits...Does anyone now think "Hit me baby..." is a good song?????A big deal was made of it. Does it get radio play? I'm now trying to think of how it goes.
(Edit: LOL. Joe, I just noticed your sig, 20 min. after writing this post. I was thinking of that Mad TV sketch...my favorite!)
