Default If this is of any worth to anybody....

...I should advise those buying "Season 2" on DVD that, as in the syndicated version, the opening titles are exactly the same as the one that began appearing in season three (1967-'68).

If you listen to Hugo Montenegro's orchestration of the title theme, it matches the one heard at the end of all closing credits in season three.
The music under the SECOND season title, however, is supposed to sound like the one heard at the end of each season TWO episode...and WITHOUT Sidney Sheldon's name on it (that was flashed at the END of every episode in 1966-'67). The reason is, the original season two opening title had a sponsor I.D. at the beginning {"The Colgate-Palmolive Company presents.."} and end {"I DREAM OF JEANNIE...brought to you by---"}, and Screen Gems-Columbia never bothered to officially recut the second season title for syndication, "slapping" on the third season title instead. To show you just how cheap THEY were, from season three on, the SAME opening titles, regardless of season, were used for the remainder of the series on NBC and in future syndication.
