1) Kids look up to other people whether it's a dad, mom, celeb, or singer. And if they see someone they admire doing someone the first thing they'll think is "oh, so since they're doing it, then it must be cool...." where do we get all of our fashion trends from? the media. the stars, who wore what on the red carpet. so, hello, we are copying people, not exactly copying them. but they do influence us and so do rapers.

2) violence has gone way up in the us for teens. like gang killings, murderes, etc. i don't know the figures but it was like over 20 percent increase i think.

3) rap's lyrics are not exactly education. hey **** why the **** did you **** ***** the **** over ****** there? you can barely hear the words cuz you're getting bleeped out (not on cds though).

yep...that's all!
Not all rap music is like that but unfourtanately that's the only kind of rap music that gets pushed into the mainstream (I hate MTV.) I only listen to rap music that has a positive message in it. I'm starting to listen to a lot of gospel rap. Not only do I feel like I'm the only person who listens to gospel rap, I also feel like I'm the only person that even knows it exists!
