I disagree, I am just being honest. If someone were to say that Ghandi, Martin Luther King and Hitler were great men, would I be wrong in saying I agree with the first two, but Hitler was not a great man? Would I be less of a person for making that correction, even though Hitler is dead?

Actors are public figures, we evaluate them on their whole body of work, much like we do with world leaders. In my opinion Dana Plato was not a great actress, I have seen virtually everything she has done, and I am convinced that she is only a marginal actress. But this does not mean that I don't like her, because I actually do.

But at the same time to compare her with Lucille Ball and Madeline Kahn is just plain ridiculous. Because these actresses accomplished so much on both stage and film, and to make that comparison is unfair to Lucy and Madeline. It is also unfair to Dana, because she really should be judged next to her peers, i.e. Nancy McKeeon, Kim Fields etc. etc., rather than being compared to 2 great stars such as Lucy and Madeline. There is nothing mean spirited in what I said, I am just stating the facts.
