I've often wondered that myself, Steve! Those two instances show that they had finacial concerns like everyone does, but Laura does own a mink stole and he bought a brand new Tarantula roadster, which he described as "heavily financed," so he must have done pretty well, I think. Remember, back in 1961 $4.00 for a bottle of shaving lotion was a lot of money, which shows they have expensive taste. I think Rob was just concerned about wasting it. Just my opinion!
