Has anyone see this movie yet? I have and was just wondering what anyone else thought about Chalize's performance or the story. Just curious.

I saw it and I really liked it. I thought the acting was excellent, especially Charlize's. I think it's amazing how they got her to look almost exactly like Aileen. The story itself is quite sad. It's a shame her life had to end up like that. I mean, it's a shame she had to turn to prostitution and killing.

I don't wanna see Monster cause Charlize looks hideous in that movie hahahahahahahahahahaha. Her face is all messed up & ugly plus she has sex with Christina Ricci in the movie ughhh. I saw a few clips of Monster when Charlize was on Bravo's Inside The Actor's Studio program being interviewed by some white guy in front of a lot of people. Charlize looked so hot that day sittin on stage being interviewed. My god she is so attractive. I saw her mother in the audience while she was being interviewed. Her mom is attractive too. I'm glad Charlize won a golden globe award for Monster movie. My favorite Charlize movie is probably Reindeer Games with Ben Affleck, Gary Sinise, Clarence Williams III. I didn't like her The Devil's Advocate movie at all with Keanu Reeves & Al Pacino. It was too weird. I did like her Trapped movie with Kevin Bacon. That was a very good movie.

Though, that's basically how Aileen Wuornos looked.

I saw Monster today, and I loved it. Charlize Theron is so going to win that Oscar.

Your right she will win. The only problem I had with the film is that it was written to make Aileen Wournos seem the victim. JMO!

I agree. I got that vibe from the movie as well. Charlize Theron has faced criticism for sort of defending Aileen in interviews. I saw her on Jay Leno, and she was going on about what a rough childhood Aileen had, blah, blah, blah.

Tell that to her poor victims' families. The scene with her final victim in the movie, not a 'John', was just heartbreaking.

Extactly! I mean Charlize did a great job, but you could also say the same thing about all the other anti-social people in this world who go around killing people, "...oh they were misunderstood and the world treated them wrong..."

There was a made for T.V. movie about the murders that Charles Mansons family committed, and they did a good job of showing what a creep he was.

Really she deserves the Oscar, but Patty Jenkins should have done a better job of telling this story.

I didn't get to see this movie because it never came to my theatre :(

They only kept Miracle for 1 week and I wanted to see that too :(

Now I'm gonna have to wait for however long it is until they come out for rent. :(

Charlize won best actress oscar last night for Monster. Yay for Charlize. I'm happy she won cause she's a good actress & she's so cute. I didn't like her hairstyle last night.
