The American League and National League championship series I am hoping for, and if I was Bud Selig and FOX I would hope for, is Yankees/Red Soxs and Cubs/Astros.

Those would be great series, and you would get an interesting World Series matchup with good story lines. Of the four possible matchup, the one that is the least compeling Astros/Red Soxs has a story line because of Clemens' history with the Red Soxs, also Jeff Bagwell was a Red Sox prospect. I don't need to tell you, the storylines of the other three matchups.

If you are a fan of any of these four teams, you have to admit that these ALCS and NLCS matchups would be great for baseball.

I hope that the average badeball fan isn't completely fed up with all big name players that those teams are picking up so they might lose interest. The AL East and NL Central are going to be dogfights especially the East with improved Toronto and Baltimore making life harder on Boston and New York.

my friend has a shirt that says "red sox vs cubs the way it should have been" I agree and hoping for one soon!

I'm sure a Red Sox vs. Cubs World Series would have ratings through the roof!
