Sky News reported that a script for a 'Sex and the City' movie is being written. Even though the script won't be finished for a while, HBO wants to get the stars signed up as soon as possible- and will be keeping the original cast.
I thought this was odd. I'm not a fan of the show, but a movie of a tv show right away- that's kind of weird, they might be taking a big risk- stuff like this rarely turns out well. What's even more weird is that Sex and the City isn't a comedy- it's a comedy/drama- which is another rare thing to see on screen.

well, part of this comes from the fact that most S&TC fans agree that the ending is so sudden, after just 6 seasons (compare that to Friends which is ending after 10). SJP has already stated in interviews that by ending S&TC right now gives the opportunity to keep the franchise alive after the show ends.
I cannot wait for the movie, this week is really sad for me having to say goodbye to one of my favorite series ever

BIG POSSIBLE SPOILER- END OF LAST EPISODE:
in another article I read, it says the very last scene in sex and the city is this: Samantha crying as she takes of a wig to reveal her head, bald from chemotherapy.

actually, this happened on this past weeks episode (second to last), Samantha was speaking at a breast cancer fundraiser, and she took her wig off, revealing really short hair

I got this from Sky News, sometimes they type stuff up incorrectly (we're way behind in the show here). But they said the final scene of the series would be Samantha taking off the wig entirely bald, and start crying.

I :heart: Sex and the City....I tihnk if there is a movie tho, it will be obvious what its about and how the series finale will turn out...Big proposes and Carrie and Big get married.

Ive never seen the show, but always wanted to. If and when the movie comes out, Im def. seeing it.
