I can't find these shoes anywhere! They're the Nikes w/ the red check, you know what I'm talking about. I found shoes that look like them except the check is light blue. The closest I've found is red check/grey sneaker. So, if ANYONE has a link to these shoes, be it a store or even eBay, I MUST HAVE THESE SHOES! Ok, maybe not must, but I really want them!

I remember somebody wearing those shoes, was it Jack? The only shoes I've seen like that recently was at Nordstrom Rack, only they were Tan shoes with a blue check.:crazy:

I didn't notice if there were any other ones, I wasn't really looking for them at the time.:)

The shoes Jack wore were called Nike Bruins. They were replaced by the Nike Cortez around 1983. The Nike Bruin and Nike Cortez are almost identical except the Cortez has a blue stripe running along the bottom sides of the shoe.

Take a look at the picture below.

If you're looking for the originals, try Ebay, and be patient. Otherwise if you want something similar, just keep looking. There are lots of Nike styles that look pretty similar to the original Bruins or Cortez'. The retro look seems to be in right now.

Incidently, the white Nike Bruins with the red swoosh on the side are the same ones that Michael J. Fox wore as Marty McFly in the Back to the Future movies. :-)
