Hi FOL fans!

I read your message boards all the time so I thought that I would send a message. First of all, I'm happy to hear that Jo will not be killed in the Reunion show. But it seems like everyone is concentrating on Jo. Have you guys forgotten about Kim Fields (Tootie)? In my opinion, her character is just as important and the Reunion will not be the same without her. All I read about is Nancy McKeon. She's a great actress but so is Kim. In addition, Kim is also a director and producer. This board does not seem to recognize Kim. In my opinion, she's just as pretty, talented and the Reunion moview needs her as well as Nancy. I have go give credit where credit is due. In my opinion, the Reunion show needs them both!

Interesting opinion, I just don't agree.

Adele,

It's not just an interesting opinion, it's a valid opinion. I don't agree with all the interesting opinions regarding Nancy. She's not the greatest actress of all times. Remember, Nancy wasn't the only actress on the show. Each person contributed. Remember, it's not the Facts of Jo but The Facts of Life. It's true Kim is just as good, if not better.

Exactly!! I think the reason that people are paying more attention to Nancy is because she'll already said NO! But I think Kim is still negotating a contract for even just a little cameo. But I do agree with you!

I think the reason everyone is paying more attention to Nancy is b/c it seems as though there are more nancy fans here. Ya, it's a valid opinion, but I NEVER liked Tootie, and I wouldn't care at all if Kim didn't show up.

Its the same thing over and over. Tootie is annoying. Be more original in your opinion or it looks just like what the last person said about her. Nancy may not be my favorite but do I go around the board saying she sucks? No.

Well, I'm a leader and not a follwer. My opinion still stands I like Kim Fields. I also like Nancy McKeon. But Nancy is not the only actress on Facts of Life. I don't really care for Natalie or Blair but Facts of Life would not have been the same without either of them. As for everyone hating or disliking Tootie, I think it is a racial thing. Since she was the only African American, everyoe wants to throw her to the side. Just becaus she is African American doesn't mean she isn't as talented or pretty as Nancy McKeon. She's a talented actress who has come a long way in show business. I'm a Kim Fields fan for life!

They need all four. Period.

FINALLY!!! I got a person who agrees with me!!! THANK YOU!!! haha... i think kim fields is DEFINALTELY just as important.. and no offense to jo/nancy fans... but i think kim fields is a lot better set than nancy... she was and is a great actress and person! If kim isn't in the reunion it really will NOT be the same without her i hope she changes her mind.. kim fields rocks and tootie is one of my faves!! I konw what it's like to be the youngest as tootie was... and i can live with her feelings all my life.. KIM FIELDS ALL THE WAY!!

I agree 100%. These characters play off one another. They really need them all. I was really upset that they were planning on killing Jo, and I was glad they decided not to. But, I think it would be just as disappointing to re-cast the part of Tootie. No one other than Kim Fields could do justice to that part. I hope she decides to be in the movie, but if not, I really think Tootie should be off somewhere. Maybe she could be up in the mountains with Jo. HaHa!

This is hilarious, but really absurd at the same time. Why are you fighting? Especially over frivolous things such as this... I mean, we should be happy that there's going to be a reunion itself. Yeah, okay, all four girls "should" be in the reunion, but Nancy has decided that she's not going to be. Now let's just move on and GET OVER IT.

I also really like Kim Fields, and she has always been such a good actress. The reunion needs her, along with everyone else.

I think Nancy and Kim both def. need to bein the movie! Everyone always looks @ the girls as Blair and Jo then Natalie and Tootie, or all four together...never has it been just Blair and Natalie or Tootie and Jo...Blair and Jo are partners, and Nat and Tootie are partners. Now int he reunion flick, Blair and Nat will both be missing there opposites, I don't really thinkt he movie will be all that great w/out all four girls, or at least 3 out of 4. So i hope Kim does agree, I mean, Nancy obviosly isn't, which , who could blame her? She's trying to grow "up" as an actresses, and i'm sure that's hard when everyone still considers her as Jo.

I think that is what is happening to Nancy. I think she thinks that she is too BIG to do a FOL movie. Sorry NMK fans. I still like her a lot though, don't get me wrong

I agree with the original post, to a certain point.

The reason why we tend to talk more about Nancy McKeon is because a)Jo was more of a powerful character than Tootie (just as Fonzie, in Happy Days,was more of a powerful player than Potsie or Chachi)

b)There was a threat of having Jo killed off on the FOL reunion. Tootie's character was in no danger, even though Kim Fields might not be there

and

c)Nancy is still in the spotlight, while Kim works mainly behind the camera


Kim IS a very good actress...no argument there.

As for Tootie, I personally find her annoying as hell! But, of course, it has nothing to do with Kim (the actress) who was doing her job very well in portraying such a character.

Would FOL be the same without Tootie? Most probably not. Every girl had her role and they all combined to make one kicka$$ TV show.

There is nothing wrong with people talking about Nancy more than Tootie. e all have our favorites and it just so happens that the majority of people on this message board are more Nancy-oriented.

But again, we all more than welcome posts about Kim Fields!

I don't think it's that she thinks she's too big for the FOL movie--i think it's cause she is trying to make a name for herself--and that would be kinda hard if she is always consider as Jo from that 80's show "the facts of life"
