I just wanted to know some thoughts on last nights episode.
Would you have purchased the 250.00 dress for the party? I believe that I would have because like Peggy said Ray has money. Growing up with 5 children on one income we never had much so I would try to give her a luxury every now and then. I agreed with Debra.

I don't know what I would have done. It would depend on my financial situation at the time. I really loved this episode, though!

I think that is way too much money to spend on a dress. Ray had a good point.

I'm not sure if I would have because it would set a major precedence for future dresses.

$250 dress @ 13... it only goes up from there! It sure won't go down...

$250 for a kid's party dress? NEVER. Ray was right and it was proved that he was right when they showed up at the party and no one was wearing a new dress. Ray got the ball rolling and didn't follow through......shame, shame. :o

Anybody who spends 250 bucks on a dress to be worn once for a 13 year old's party is setting up their kid for a shallow lifestyle and the wrong ideas about what's important in life. I totally agreed with Ray and the other parents. To have this foisted on them by that Peggy character was nonsense, and good for Ray to finally show some guts for a change! Although the ending ruined everything.
