According to supermanhomepage.com the Adventures of Superman is listing as having a release date of June 14th

Dean Cain was too young to play Superman at the time. In fact, he was even
younger than Gerard Christopher (Superboy)!

How was Dean too young? He's the same age that our new Superman Brandon Routh is now. Personally Tom Welling is too old to be playing Clark Kent, but oh well.
