View Full Version : We all know it was the funniest....
barwars 02-16-2004, 09:08 PM but I also think its one of the most loved shows of all times.
I just watched the "I Love the 80s: 87" thing on Cheers.
And just from what the people were saying.... you could tell they all liked the show.
IMO, its one of the most loved sitcoms of all time.
One of, if not the funniest.
And definately.... the FUNNEST sitcom of all time.
DianeChambers87 02-16-2004, 09:15 PM .... :livid: that lisa lisa bitch called Diane anal...... *strangles the horribly bad 80s 15 minutes of fame star*
barwars 02-16-2004, 09:17 PM haha
I just love when they play the themesong and show clips from the show.
I think the bloopers on Season 2 ended perfectly, with everyone laughing.
DianeChambers87 02-16-2004, 09:19 PM *laughs viciously while eyeing the dead 80s 15 minutes of fame star* nobody messes w/ the Diane....nobody.
barwars 02-16-2004, 09:24 PM Lots of talk about PSYCHOS going around lately....
Either way....
Cheers gets my vote for best everything.
EVER.

MaydayMalonesGirl 02-16-2004, 09:26 PM I liked the I Love the 80s Cheers segment. It was put together very well, IMO.
barwars 02-16-2004, 09:29 PM I agree.
I know its weird.... and I may just be a little TOO obsessed.
But Cheers is one of the only shows that really makes me happy.
I mean, I enjoy watching other shows.... but Cheers is really the only thing that could make me happy when Im not.
Is it like this for anyone else....
or am I a dork??

Nope. I'm the same way. The only other shows I really like are music based shows [like IMX and stuff]
People who like an older sitcoms seem to like a lot of old sitcoms.... I'm not like that. Cheers is the only one.....

aren't we all....
DianeChambers87 02-16-2004, 09:39 PM i've said this before and i'll say it again, I should have been born in 1954!!! I could have been in my late teens and early 20s in the seveties... (get to enjoy the music) and in my late 20s and early 30s in the 80s (could have gone on the Cheers set and seduced Ted Danson)

Fuse. I love it......
barwars 02-16-2004, 09:43 PM I think I was born at the wrong time too.
I wouldve LOVED to be a teenager in the 80s.
Life was so much simpler then.

Ohh.... I dont get that.
barwars 02-16-2004, 09:48 PM Ive never been a huge music fan.
I mean.... I dont hate it.
But Id rather spend my money on a DVD than a CD.
idk.... Ive never really been "normal"
Im not really a big music person (whereas my brother is a HUGE music fan)
Ive never been really good at any sports (whereas my brothers are obsessed with them)
and Ive always rather watch an old TV show.... or listen to 80s music.... than watch or listen than anything on TV today.
idk.... it all comes back to that dork thing.
DianeChambers87 02-16-2004, 09:49 PM i am a HUGE 70s music fan, HUGE Cheers fan, HUGE Rocky Horror fan, HUGE Kathleen Turner fan, and HUGE Queen fan....so um i have my hands full in the obsessions/ dork department
barwars 02-16-2004, 09:51 PM Let me see my obsessions....
Cheers
and MAYBE Frasier and SNL.
besides that.... nothing really.
I watch a LOT of other TV shows.... but nothing like Cheers, Frasier or SNL.
Music, I listen to it once in a while.... but its nothing I obsess over.
barwars 02-16-2004, 10:00 PM ohh and Survivor.
DEFINATELY Survivor.
maybe a little TOO much.

I constantly have music on, and most of the tv I like is centered around music [besides Cheers, well and That 70s Show] :p
barwars 02-16-2004, 10:04 PM Not me.
Most the time if i listen to music.... its in the car.
At home.... the TV is always on.
Id much rather watch an episode of a TV show or a movie....
than listen to a CD.... even if it were my favorite band.
(I dont even have a favorite band)
cheers freak 02-16-2004, 10:28 PM I would say that a lot of people can relate to the show because anyone can identify with it. Unlike alot of the crap that is on TV these days, Cheers wasn't always about getting the quick laugh it was a show that depending on having good charcters and developing them as the show went on. The jokes just came naturally with the development of great and believable characters.
Teddy02 02-17-2004, 04:03 PM if that makes you a dork then i'm one too, definately. i feel the exact same way. cheers just always makes me feel... idk happy, plain and simple. if i'm mad or anything just feeling sad or unhappy or anything i can watch an episode and feel better. wow reading what i've just written or what any of us have written, lol we ARE obsessed
CheersChild4life 02-17-2004, 05:58 PM Cheers was so very loved!~
