Wow! You did a marvelous job! Thank you! I've been to San Francisco since 1996 and I've never seen the real "Full House" before. I found this picture with the Golden Gate Bridge which it appears to be a "Full House" logo in the opening. Here is the two pictures of then and now:

I think it is funny how all the houses in San Fransisco are so close together and how they are all built basically the same way.

those are cool pics but the people who live there must of painted the house and i think they should of kept it the way it was.and the park picture theres a mest up fence and that looks bad.:mad: :happyface

I think the unfortunate thing is that the tree covers the front door of the house now, so I couldn't get an exact picture like they had on the show. But it was still nice to see it in person.

The door is now crimson, it used to be bright red.

Where I live, the houses are all stuck together :) There is no space between any of the buildings :p

Wonderful job tgc225!!! Those pictures confirm it! That has to be the house, everything matches up.

Some thoughts -

1. I think the house looked better when it had the white siding. I've never been a fan of yellow. The owners might have changed it to either make the house look a little less obvious than on the show, or they might have just wanted to update it.

2. Look at the house to the left, it looks as though the neighbors tore down the tree in front as it looked pretty big when the show was on the air, and a couple other small ones are there now. (This might be Kimmie's house.)

3. Red is my favorite color, but the doors look pretty nice in the dark maroon color that they have now.

4. You're right, it's too bad the tree is covering a chunk of the front, but they are still great pics!!!

5. I'm not really a fan of those San Francisco style houses. They all look too thin and it would bug me to not have a driveway leading back to the garage and back yard. But that's the style I'm just not used to.

Did any neighbors see you taking pictures of the house? Surely they must know that it's the Full House house. I'm surprised it wouldn't be mentioned around the city more. Oh well.

Thanks for taking the pictures, tgc225. You did a wonderful job. I'm sure many Full House websites would love to have those pics. Some fans don't even know that the exterior is a real house.

2) Yep, I noticed that too. Also, that house on the left has been repainted from light blue to white.

3) Yeah, I think the doors were a little too bright, considering the overall look of the houses was a more natural and faded color. I liked the new dark crimson color.

4) Yeah, you can see the small tree growing during Full House, looks like it's grown to full size since the end of the show.

5) That's a pretty common design in that part of town. Beats my neighbrohood though:

That's typical of the Sunset District I live in. Houses all stuck together with fairly duller designs. I'd say about half of the residential single family homes in San Francisco follow that design.

I don't think anyone saw me. It's a quiet block. When I got there, there was one jogger running through, I waited till they ran by, and then took my shots from accross the street, then on the same side as the house to get the door closeup. It looks like in the show, they had a camera in one of the buildings accross the street, as you can see, they filmed the house looking straight on, my shots are angled up a bit. I don't know if the people around the house know how famous it is either :p

What I might do next is try to get some grabs of "Comet's Excellent Adveture" and then find the real locations during spring break or something. Almost the entire show was filmed on-location, and I think I knew approximately where a good deal of the locations are.

Eek, all the pictures (except the large versions of my photos) were hosted on Homestead, and looks like I've sucked up too much bandwidth. The really large photos are hosted on my own website that I pay for, and I'm approaching the bandwidth limit there too, so I can't rehost the Homestead pics there or I'll be hit with an overage charge.

Hopefully, Homestead will be up again by tommorow morning, if not, I'll find another place to host the photos. I also added the street corners where Alamo Park and Lombard Street are located.

tgc225, just wondering - Did you live in San Francisco while the show was on the air? I would imagine the house, plus other aireal shots of the city would be talked about more seeing how popular the show was at the time.

I've lived in San Francisco since 1989. I really haven't seen much discussion of it. Maybe there was more during the beggining of the series run, but I was really too young to remember anything.

As for Alamo Park, I do not know what that circular area with plants was made for. I kind of wonder myself :p

And I think Alamo Park would look better if I wasn't taking my photos on a rainy and foggy day. Unforunatly, you can barely make out downtown San Francisco in my photos because of the fog. There's a great view with the sun out, as you can tell by the Full House vidcap.

The pictures are wonderful ;) :D

Can I ask what street the house is on? I believe they've used this house's exterior for many shots in movies/television. The whole street as a matter of fact.

Yeah, that's a great photo. Alamo Park is a popular tourist attraction. When I took my photos, there were a few other tourists there taking photos.

Hey. I love these pictures. This answers a lot of my questions but I still have a few. It would be great if you could answer them.

1. I was just growing up during FH and never went to San Fransisco. FH was actually recorded live correct?

2. The house that is on the intro, people did live there right?

I also have never been to San Fransisco as some of the others. I am not very familar with those styles.
