View Full Version : Good to know Mag's alive...ahh...that episode
Ewan's My Man 02-15-2004, 11:09 PM I'm sorry, I know this sounds bad, but that episode...it revolved around Nate and Raina...TOO MUCH. It would be one thing if it was Nate and CD, or even if it was mostly Nate and Raina and they threw in little 1 minute intervals of other people. But I mean, that got REALLY old. Even the Kate scenes couldn't provide refuge...ahh...I think I made the right choice watching TD and taping Alias...ahhh...
At least Jinny told Hank stuff...he actually looked pretty cute at the end...
But I really was wondering about Mag...I was slightly dilarious halfway through the episode, and I just burst out laughing b/c I could see next week's episode...they're all upset and when they finally say why it's like..."Yea, Ben found out the truth, killed her, and then ran off to Europe with Gabe, leaving only a note..."
Rhiannon 02-16-2004, 12:01 AM I forgot to watch it....seems like a wise descision. What exactly happened?
Ewan's My Man 02-16-2004, 12:07 AM Well, it opened with Jinny and Hank, and they were eating out right after going to an art exhibit or something and Jinny was reading the brochure and it said the artist was like an alcoholic, and she brought that up, and Hank started going on and on about how important it was for that guy to drink every morning or whatever he said, and Jinny got all Jinny and closed off...blah blah blah...Nate's sister called him AFTER HE JUST HAD SEX WITH ANOTHER WOMAN. And they had the whole case. And Jill was going to law school and wanted to take the baby so that was a whole big scene...then like 45 minutes into the episode you finally see a different character other then Nate, Raina, Stacy, or Kate...and Mag had like a total of two lines...and yea, it ended with Hank and Jinny doing that art...ya know when you just throw down the paint, and she told him that she was a "recovering alcoholic and drug addict" and yea, it ended with them making out.
Shmoo 02-16-2004, 12:34 AM I know what you ment I was like WTF where is Magda and Jinny like halfway through the episode cuz they didn't show much of Jinny either except in the beginning and the end which i liked that painting scene...it looked like fun
consentida 02-16-2004, 12:38 AM I dont know. I liked the ep. I really did. But I missed Jinny and Mag. I liked the fact that the ep revolved around Nate. How many eps have revolved around Nate so far on TD? Like 2. So it was good to see more of him and hear more about his story. And the Kate thing...I liked that storyline too. And the scene with Jinny and hank at the end, I really liked that part. I dunno..I liked the ep.

I agree 100%...I liked how it revolved around Nate...but ewww..who was that nasty ho in bed with him?..gosh, he's turned into a man whore...anyway..I really liked the Kate, Katie Anne, Louis(bastard), Jill thing..Im glad she left the baby w/ Kate...and isn't Katie Anne the cutest thing ever!?..And then Jinny and Hank...that was so sweet..I really like him..he so easy going..I loved the paint scene...I thought they were gonna start making out in the paint though!...
Ewan's My Man 02-16-2004, 02:28 AM I dunno, I'm not saying I didn't like the fact that Nate had a storyline about him, or that I didn't like the Kate part...but Jinny's my fav character...and it was long when it was just Nate/Raina/Kate scenes...

OMG I know. I thought they were gonna like start rolling around in the paint and stuff. The minute I saw the paint I was like "Oh God...they're gonna roll around in the paint." lol.
nancyrulz 02-16-2004, 12:58 PM Yep I agree there...not enough Jinny and Magda. And Nate in bed with that woman... ech. Should be CD there! :)

nancyrulz 02-16-2004, 04:59 PM LOL! Hey seeing him w/o a shirt, yeah that was good hmmmm ;)
InspectorExstead 02-16-2004, 06:00 PM I loved seeing Nate with his sister.....brings out another side of him. I loved the end when they were playing chess and Nate said "I am older than you" and his sister said "only in years..."
And I loooved it when Jin and Hank were painting. It inspired me to go get some paints and just release the stress. Is it possible that Jinny has now found a new hobby? :)
duffy76 02-16-2004, 07:02 PM I really liked this episode because it focused on Nate - sorry, he's my fave. I think we are starting to see how much CD dumping him has affected him with the woman at the beginning. Like I said in another thread, this is typical hurt male behavior. I think when he was saying that stuff to Irene about how sometimes people break promises and they don't mean to hurt you, he was really talking about CD.
I couldn't help but compare this episode with the other one that included Irene. Nate completely opened up to CD about his father's relationship with Irene and how it affected him. But he didn't open up to Raina at all. I thought she was a little out of line telling him not to touch a suspect like that again. Um Raina, he's been doing this a lot longer than you have and you should be grateful to have a partner like him.
I really like Hank and Jinny together. If we can't have Teddy, then I'll take this guy.

CD and Nate had been partners for a longer while than Raina and Nate. Plus, with CD dumping him and the aftermath of it, I don't really blame him for not opening up, especially since it just might remind him of CD more.
As for the suspect...Nate, and all the other characters, tend to become jumpy when any case hits close to home, especially this one dealing with Nate's sister. I don't think it was the smartest move hitting the guy though. It could come back to haunt him.
