"What The Cabbie Saw" is one of those episodes that I think I don't really like, but then I watch it and realize that it's much funnier than I remembered.
Two of my favorite parts of this episode are when they're trying to stall the robber guy, so Joe tells Fay to go out and announce a delay, and she goes out there and says, "Sandpiper Air regrets to inform that there will be a short delay in our Flight 19 to Boston, due to a hole in the wing." :lol: That always makes me laugh so hard! The way she says it is so funny. and it's so rediculous. a hole in the wing. haha. and Joe is funny how he pokes his head out from the office and says, "for goodness sakes, Fay! a hole in the wing??!!" The funny thing about that is that it looks like Tim almost starts laughing. hahaha.
oh! and then Fay says into the mic, "It's just a small hole.." haha!

and then the other part that cracks me up is when the robber asks Brian and Lowell how to get to the ferry, and they both stand up and start rattling off completely opposite directions at the same time. It sounds really funny just like that, but then the last time I watched it, I rewound the tape a few times to hear what each one of them is sayng, and Brian says something rediculous like, "go west 3 miles, the go around the roundabout a few times...." hahaha and Lowell says something like go east for three miles, and go over the bridge... i don't remember it all, but it's really funny if you try to figure out what each of them is saying, because it's the complete opposite of eachother, and way out there, like Brian saying to go around the roundabout a few times. lol.

But yeah, there are a few episodes where I always forget how funny they are until I watch them again. Another one like that is "Divorce, American Style".
What about you guys? Are there episodes that you think are so-so, until you watch them again and relaize they are much funnier than you remembered?

There are a LOT of "Wings" episodes that I enjoy MUCH more the second (and third) time around!

Maybe it's because the first time around you tune into every episode expecting it to be a true "classic" like "The Ladies Who Lunch", "The Bogey Men", "Sports and Leisure", etc....and when it's NOT of that high calibre, you are disappointed and say to yourself, "Oh, that wasn't a very good episode"....but then with repeat viewings, you tune in to that same episode not expecting so much, but instead enjoy the fine moments that ARE there...and you end up thinking, "Hey, that episode wasn't so bad AFTER all! I enjoyed it a LOT more THIS time!".

There are a few other times when Fay tells Joe "I know how to do my job." And then Joe apologizes, and then Fay goes out there and screws it up. I always find those scenes funny. One time she turns to Joe and says "I choked." I can't remember which episode that was though.

So then, what ... was that guy really the robber or not? How could Antonio be so wrong? I know Watts didn't go to jail, but that doesn't mean he wasn't the bank robber. What does anyone else think?

That's how the entire 7th season is for me. The first time I expected too much in the beginning and just enjoyed them later.

"Wings", like "NewsRadio" is one of the shows where I like to watch my tapes and watch the actors when they're not speaking. I just like to see everybody's facial expressions. Roy has some of the best. Once I was watching Roy sitting at his desk working, while the scene was of Joe and the gang over at Fay's counter.

hehe yeah, I like to do that too. Sometimes I watch the people in the background, or the other actors in the scene who are just listening to the person who's talking. That's fun.

Yes, almost all of the "Wings" cast members were EXCELLENT "reactionary" actors, and their silent responses to another character's lines can be hilarious!

Sometimes you'll see Helen at the lunch counter pouring coffee, or other characters just sitting at the counter eating lunch or drinking coffee, or doing paperwork at their work station, and they're not even part of the conversation that's going on....but when something is said, they'll stop what they're doing, look up and do a subtle (but funny) "double take" or stare, and those are always fun to watch.

This is one of my favorite episodes :lol: It's certainly one of Antonio's best, IMHO.
