Sometimes I think Arthur is a VERY smart man. He comes across as really NUTS--koo-koo in the head, but I think it's an act. I think he really knows how to manipulate people and he does it brilliantly. Jerry Stiller should get an emmy for his role as Arthur Spooner. Anyone with me??

Arthur is a completely original character and I agree with you that he deserves an Emmy. I LOVE Arthur and I do get bugged when Carrie and Doug get on him. He is clever and I do believe there are a few disconnected wires in his head.:happyface
