View Full Version : Afternoon Shows
duffy76 02-14-2004, 05:59 PM It looks like they are not going to show The Division on weekdays after next week - which really pisses me off! The movie starts an hour later and Any Day Now is on in The Division's slot with Strong Medicine following. Why would they take The Division off, but leave the other two on? They didn't even show the entire 4th season. I was taping all of the episodes to keep and now I'm going to be short.
I emailed Lifetime last week, but they still haven't answered me.
*Marilyn Monroe* 02-14-2004, 06:17 PM This pisses me off a lot! I ran out of tapes...but I didn't rush out and get more because I thought they were going to re-air them. God damn them.
Rhiannon 02-14-2004, 06:25 PM Yeah, starting Feb 23 TD won't come on in the afternoons anymore but we get The Nanny and Designing Women? WTF is that?
bananasplit 02-14-2004, 11:23 PM Wow. Now I'm pissed. It makes no sense. The Divison is probably the greatest show on Lifetime and they decide that they won't air it any more. Stupid. Just plain stupid.
Snowfall 02-15-2004, 01:12 AM Geez, I am so pissed at Lifetime AGAIN!!! First they show the crap they call the fourth season, and now they pull the reruns off in the afternoon! And what makes it worse is, that means that they're not going to show "Thus With a Kiss I Die" again soon, which they skipped rerunning on Sunday in December! My copy is the original, and I wore out the kiss scene by October. :( I really needed that new copy.
duffy76 02-15-2004, 11:21 AM Here is the email I sent to Lifetime today:
I would really appreciate a response as to why you are pulling The Division from your afternoon lineup, but you are leaving Any Day Now and Strong Medicine on. Do we really need to see The Nanny and Golden Girls more? The Division is one of your original programs and it is still airing! Why wouldn't you want to run that more and drum up more viewership? You didn't even finish the 3rd season. Between the abrupt departure of CD and this - I'm beginning to think you want The Division to be fail which is a real shame for all of its loyal viewers.
I would very much appreciate a response. This is the second email I've written on this topic and I haven't heard from anyone.
I'm going to email them every day until I get a response.

I like it! Those bastards never respond to me, they just don't have a decent reason. They like to piss peole off.
bananasplit 02-15-2004, 07:10 PM what's the e-mail address for lifetime?
duffy76 02-15-2004, 07:23 PM I don't have an email address - it's a form on the website.
dali lama 102 02-16-2004, 09:47 PM If Lifetime is gonna treat The Division like this, Because The Division is a Viacom/Paramount show, we can also petition for other channels on cable to buy copyrights or whatever and show it, to include Lifetime's rival "Oxygen" or "W.E.". It happened with ALIAS when the WB was treating the show badly and suddenly cutting off it's respected reruns. Now ALIAS is on either NBC, CBS, or ABC, one of those three, but not on the WB anymore, not even in reruns, as far as I know. I think that Oxygen or WE would treat The Division good. I really think. Who knows?
OjiNmagnatebonnO 02-16-2004, 11:54 PM How come on upcoming episodes on The Division..it says the episodes that are going to be on...is it a mistake?

Lifetime is the only "Women" network I get. So I hope it stays. Maybe some other station bought syndication rights? Can you do that when the show's still running?
bananasplit 02-17-2004, 08:18 PM The afternoon shows are going to be on at the same time as they always were. 4pm eastern time. I guess lifetime came to it's senses.

duffy76 02-17-2004, 10:41 PM All is good with the world.
Snowfall 02-18-2004, 01:10 AM Wahoo! I'm happy again. Well, with the reruns, that is. ;)
duffy76 02-18-2004, 03:31 PM They're gone again!
duffy76 02-18-2004, 03:48 PM I swear to God that ten minutes ago I checked the upcoming episodes and they were gone, now they are back! I guess I will just leave my VCR set and hope for the best. No wonder things seem so confused this season.
*MIBabe03* 02-18-2004, 07:04 PM I noticed that they are gonna be back too. Thank God! I still need to tape like 4 eps from the first season, and 2 from the second season.

I swear to God I just had a mini-aneurysm. (SP?) I scrolled up to reply w/out reading the rest of the thread, and wrote out this big huge rant. Then, before I sent it, I saw the next post. :o
maria1986 02-18-2004, 08:53 PM I haven't checked the website lately, but I saw a commercial today that was saying a movie at 2pm, AnyDay Now at 4pm, and Strong Medicin at 5pm (it showed Nancy in A cry for help). Im gonna be pissed if they stop showing the Division everyday!
duffy76 02-18-2004, 08:57 PM Yep, I saw that commercial today as well. I think that does it. Any Day Now isn't even on anymore and isn't it reran another night? It doesn't make a bit of sense to me. I'm going to write them every day and tell them to put it back on.
