I realized Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding) got bigger after watching "The Rerun Show"... but I didn't know he gained that much weight. He seriously needs to watch out, it's not healthy be that big.

geesh he doesn't look that bad. Alot of people gain weight as they get older, and it's not easy to lose it as it to gain it, as most of us probably know :)

For all we know he could have something wrong that made him gain weight like maybe taking medicine, or quitting smoking or something.

I still think he looks bad, but I never said I didn't understand. I do understand...I never thought about quiting smoking, if he did quit that...good for him!! :D

Yeah, a medical condition would be no excuse at all!

Yeah...I agree. A medical condition is an excuse...a very good excuse. Such as a thyroid problem...you just can't help it. Medications don't work for everyone, and there's not always a medication to regulate things.

Why wouldn't it be? What if he is trying his best to lose the weight. Like he's cut out everything bad, eats rationally, etc. Then does he have an excuse. I don't think that's being very fair.

BTW - My grandmother had lupus and they put her on some sort of medication, I think steroids? It made her gain about 50-60 pounds and she ate very healthy....:(

It's just pure stupidity.

I don't see why if they are truly trying to lose the weight. :confused: It's not always weight gained from eating. As for my grandmother, the weight gain had to do with mainly bloating. She couldn't help that. I'm not saying that is his case, but if it is medically related I'd cut him some slack.

I HIGHLY doubt he has a medical condition, he just let himself go.

It's a known fact that some medication actually have weight gain side effects. Many of the thyroid problems/medications make people get bigger in a rapid rate.

Yeah, my mom has a thyroid condition. It's pretty much under control now because she got one of them removed & she's on medication, but beforehand she was a size 6 and in no time she was a 14 pants.

Yes and no. They never officially cancelled it. Instead they picked up the Vegas Wedding movie. We really had a killer time period and probably couldn't work on the NBC schedule.
5. Over the years, SBTB tackled tough teen subjects (and taught great morals from) such as drugs, drinking, and even what to do if a lady gives birth in an elevator … why did it SBTB never tackle the subject of sex?
We never tackled sex because of the younger members of the audience. I didn't want the parents of those viewers to lose faith in us. We did some sexually related shows on Hang Time and All About Us.
6. Are there any episodes of SBTB that never got aired?
No. All the episodes have been aired.
7. If there was one thing you wished you could of done (or should of done) with SBTB, but didn’t, what would that be?
Portray the teachers in a much better light.
8. Tell us about the off camera romances?
I can't but there was a time with Mark-Paul and Elizabeth (very brief since she was older than him). Mario and Tiffany (again very brief) and then Mark-Paul and Tiffany.
9. One of the greatest moments of my life was when I heard that SBTB was going to be released onto DVD. But the first two seasons released did not include any extras that one would hope for (i.e. deleted scenes, audio commentary, photo gallery, etc.) … Can you tell us if the future released Seasons 3 & 4 will include those things? Also, will it include the Summer Season and the Tori Season?
We didn't keep outtakes. The audio commentary was supposed to be done by me but I went east. The cast wouldn't do it I have been told but don't know for sure. Yes, the next DVD will include Summer Season and Tori Scott.
10. The question everyone wants to know … Will there ever be a reunion?
NBC is trying to get the cast and me together for the Ellen show (not my choice). I don't think it will happen. Most of the cast wouldn't even do the E True Hollywood Story. They had to use old interviews. So don't count on a reunion.

Even Peter Engel does not talk about the Second class. It was all about the orginal class.

Wonder why they are never plan on putting the second class on dvd? Obviously people must have liked it or it would not have lasted 7 years. Nor do they ever show the second class in reruns.

The people who post on here may not have liked the second class, but people out there had to like it for it to last 7 years. Yet no mention of the second class or reruns or dvd of the second class somehow it outlasted the orginal class.
