Fighting doesn't necessarily make anyone "cool," but lots of times Zack tried to act as a tough guy but his actions always showed otherwise:

1. Refused to fight Mikey.
2. Got his ass whooped by Slater.
3. Underestimated Screech, and refused to handle the problem... he let Lisa do it, Zack simply ignored him.

No fighting does not make you cool. But if someone wants to fight and you back down then you look a little wimpy.

Yeah, but sometimes being the one backing down makes you the stronger man. If Zack would of fought Screech, would you feel the same towards Zack?... Wouldn't you see him as a bigger wimp for fighting him?

I'm not talking about Screech. I'm talking about when "Mikey" approached Zac for a fight. Fighting Screech would have been pointless

I just used Screech as an example because both "arguments" were completely worthless and not important enough to cause a fight over.

When Mickey approached Zack in that episode ("Save The Last Dance For Me"- I believe [?],) Zack had a "what the ****?" expression in his face.

Although Zack was always childish, I guess he was really mature and smart in some aspects.

It was over a girl they both liked I'm pretty sure.

I thought the fight ended in a draw. Zack gave Slater a black eye and Slater gave Zack a fat lip.

There was new girl in the school, Joanna. Zack eyed her first. Then Slater had her for a class and was interested. The dance was coming up, so they both planned to ask her without knowing it was the same girl they were interested in.

This is when the competition began again, over a girl. LOL

Slater did things to ruin Zack's date with Joanna then Zack would do the same thing to him, etc. Joanna was overwhelmed and decided not to go with either of them. And this pissed them off, so they fought.

Life was so much simpler when they wanted Kelly. LOL

Zack paid some woman in the movies to pretend to be Slater's mom while he was on a date with Joanna.

LOL No, you have it confused with the college years episode, when Kelly and Alex help Zack, or more like "Professor Lasky", get the girl off his back after he learns she's the Dean's daughter. LOL That is hilarious. I laugh every time.

Oh...OK. lol Yeah...I haven't seen either of the two in a while so that's why I got confused LOL  But it was hysterical!

...I REALLY need the second box set (seasons 3 & 4) to refresh my memory. And a box set of the College Years. It's been like 6 years. I've seen a lot of the episodes recently though so it's all good when it comes to those I suppose ;) :D

This episode was on yesterday! I finally saw it again and I can say that there was no clear winner in the fight. Zack got in a good clean punch to start the fight and Slater countered with a shot of his own. They then wrestled around on the floor with both parties getting in equal punches. I would have scored the fight a draw. It was a pretty good episode. I wonder whatever happened to that girl Joanne!!

Also whatever happened to the girl that Slater hooked up with at Malibu sands??? Remember the one he saved from drowning in only 2 feet of water and then said was going to Bayside in the fall.

That was a good fight between Zack and Slater. It looked real... Even the punches sounded real. :boxing:

What makes me laugh about this episode is seeing how much gel/mousse/hairspray Zack used... his hair barely moved when he was fighting Slater.

And being scared to defend yourself doesn't make a person cool either. It makes them a wimp.
