The link above is a recent article mentioning the murder of Megan Curl. In March of 2000, the body of the 26-year-old Texas woman was found tied to a bed in her apartment. The case was profiled on UM less than two years later (at the end of the 2001 season).

According to the article, evidence from the scene is being re-tested for DNA. The results from the initial tests didn't find a link to Tommy Blaine Purvis, who, in June of 2003, died of injuries he sustained from a fall. Nonetheless, Purvis has not been ruled out as a suspect in the case. Although the police are looking into other possible suspects, they suspect Purvis because he was Curl's ex-boyfriend, and he very abusive to her.

The only problem I have with him being a suspect is with the Unsolved Mysteries re enactment the friend who was telling the story about seeing the car pull up and the man in the car the actor playing Megan said that the driver in the car was her " friend from the club" then when noisy friend went to the door she said I was right " it was my friend from the club" If it was her ex boyfriend as police suspect then she would have recognize the car and would not have introduced him as her friend she would have said that is my ex and I would assume that the friend would have recognize the man as being her ex boyfriend and not a total stranger.. I don't think that he was the killer I believe the man that was seen at the club buying her drinks was and is the killer.. after all no one has seen or heard from him since!
