I read this in my newspapers TV Book :
Q. There has been word on the internet that Jo might be deceased if they make a "Facts of Life" reunion movie.
A. Here's how the story was given to us by "Jo" herself, actress Nancy McKeon, when we spoke with her recently about her current Lifetime series, "The Division". She agreed to have a meeting with the potential producer of a "Facts of Life" reunion, though she knew going in that she didn't want to play Jo again. She reaffirmed that to the producer and jokingly said "Why don't you set the opening scene at Jo's funeral ?" McKeon added that her not-meant-seriously suggestion then "took on a life of its own", since the story spread, as if it were fact. Though she maintains she will not be in the movie if it comes about, Jo's fate is not a certainty. It's unlikely the role would be recast, but Jo could always be mentioned as being "away" without necessarily being deceased.
