I have heard that Family Ties was his favorite show during that time. I think it would have been a lot of fun watching a show with him in it. However probably one of three reasons kept this from happening. First, the producers probably let their own personal ideologies get in the way of letting him on. They were probably pretty liberal and Democratic. Either that or it would be far to complicated to work out the schedules and security. Or, a third reason could be that they couldn't figure out a realistic way of writing him into an episode without making it silly.
