For the past few weeks, I have tried unsuccessfully to create a DVD using Pinnacle Studio 8 and Pinnacle Expression. The odd thing is I have been able to make a VCD without any trouble, but when I try to create a DVD from imported MPEG files, the computer either freezes or an "illegal operation" window comes up. I am wondering what to do, especially since I have already tried the updates available for download, and am sure it can't be the software because I've tried two different Pinnacle programs (Pinnacle Expression and Pinnacle Studio AV). Both of these bring the same result - the stopping of the program in the middle of transcoding to DVD format (to MPEG-2); it doesn't even start burning at all. Would someone please give me any suggestions as to what I should do or what formats are required to be burned onto DVD?
