View Full Version : I'm Not Sleeping Tonight
~LadyJess~ 02-08-2004, 02:14 AM So I come home from the movies tonight around 12:30 and like the good responsible daughter I am, I go to tell my parents that I'm home. Bad choice...I saw something I never want to see ever again. This stuff is supposed to happen to kid when they are 3-4, not 18 years old. I don't want to go to sleep now or leave my room.
I'm sure you all wanted to hear that but I just needed to get it out.
Kristina 02-08-2004, 02:19 AM ... what happened?
Hollow 02-08-2004, 02:19 AM .....?
~LadyJess~ 02-08-2004, 02:20 AM Eh...they were having sex, something that yes, married people do, but I don't want to walk in and see my parents doing.
Lady T 02-08-2004, 02:20 AM  Oh Honey I am sorry...

Oh, yeah I'd be pretty grossed out. Were they doing it in the living room or something?
fr00ti 02-08-2004, 02:22 AM Wow, that sucks. I'm sorry you had to see that. :(
Janice 02-08-2004, 02:25 AM Yikes! I'm sure it was embarrassing for all involved. You poor thing.
Try to look at the bright side. After all these years, your folks are still in love.

No they were in their room but we have this thing that when I come home at night I let them know that I'm home. I won't be doing that anymore.

I'm just hoping my mom doesn't say anything to me tomorrow. Just forget it happened and move on.
dandelion wine 02-08-2004, 02:35 AM Yikes! That happened to me when I was a kid and yeah, it was pretty embarrassing. I couldn't look at them the next day.
Janice does make a good point, though.

I guess they were just taking advantage of the fact that I was out of the house, my brother is spending the night at his friend's house and my other brother was already asleep. Damn, I'm staying out a lot later now.
consentida 02-08-2004, 02:40 AM Damn. That sucks. Sorry you had to see that. Man, I'm glad my parents dont live in the same house...
Janice 02-08-2004, 02:54 AM Maybe they were just getting an early jump on Valentines Day.

Hey it's all in good fun, I'd be doing the same thing if it was someone else. The first thing I did when I got to my room was call my best friend and talked to her until just now when she decided to go to bed, I'm sure she was pleased to hear about it but hey what are true friends for? And all I can really do is joke about it now.

Chelsea 02-08-2004, 03:47 AM My original due date was the beginning of September 1986 (Though I did wind up a bit early, which is quite a bit unlike me, but, anyway). 9 months after New Years. Figure THAT one out for yourself, folks.
The story of Seth's conception. It's official. Now EVERY last conceivable (lol) topic has been discussed on the boards.

oh and i had to get a little "talk" about how its just a natural thing that married people do...not the greatest 15 minutes of my life
oh man...im sorry you had to see that
Expyra 02-08-2004, 12:35 PM ~LadyJess~ - I am extremely sorry that you had to see that.
I overhear my parents having sex all the time. I have walked in on them naked in bed and all over eachother. My father ordered these Viagra type pills and an oral jelly off of eBay and when he receives them in the mail he just lets them sit out on the kitchen table where everyone can see them. My parents are ****ing disgusting and I can't stand living in the same house as them. They are constantly all over eachother, in the bathtub together. Last night, they were getting a bath together and the bathroom is right outside of my bedroom and I was trying to sleep but I couldn't, so I blasted my television up and sat there trying not to think about it, but I was so disgusted. It is not right. I think it is wrong for parents to be all over eachother in front of their children. I think it is wrong for parents to go at it when their children are only a room away. Some of you people may think it's funny, but I sure as hell don't. It can seriously scar a child for life. I know it has scarred me already. I have trouble looking at them because they make me ill. I mean, it's their business if they want to do that. They're married, it's their house, whatever. But they could at least wait until we are asleep or until we leave the house to go somewhere. And there is no reason for them to be groping eachother in front of the children either. It is wrong. Kids do not need to see their parents doing those types of things because those are things that are between TWO PEOPLE and should be done in private.
~LadyJess~ - I know this is going to bother you for a while, but it will get better. It's going to be on your mind for quite sometime, but it'll eventually fade.
Blair-Lisa#1Fan 02-08-2004, 12:45 PM haha thats happened to me before. i was like 7 or 8 though and i just came back from riding my bike around the neighborhood! But yea if I were you, I'd move out! lol

Oh yes, it certainly will be. I've heard my parents numerous times and it still freaks me out to this day. For some reason, I got all.. pissed off and angry. I was ready to kick down their door and start screaming at them. I mean now that I'm a lot older I understand a tad bit better, but still. Parents. Yuck. It especially sucks if you're an insomniac and up all night.
I feel for you, kid :(

Me too Kar [This is Mo by the way]. It angers me too. I just want to scream at them for it. It really pisses me off.
No child should ever have to see or hear their parents knocking boots. It's bad enough that we KNOW they do the old nasty.

I know....I know it's some natural thing that happens and it's basically the only natural way kids can be conceived, but still. It's disgusting. What's even worse is when you think about it, some people's 15 and 16 year old kids are going and getting themselves laid. Hey, I ain't saying there's anything wrong with that, but my point is, it freaks me out to know 50 year olds are still doing it.
Luckily though, I don't have to worry about it anymore. My mother hates my father and half the time she's up with me at 2 in the morning playing board games :)
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 02-08-2004, 01:22 PM Ick, that mustv'e been pretty weird. :( I don't have to worry about it myself because my parents hate each other and havn't lived together in 8 years.
MaydayMalonesGirl 02-08-2004, 01:25 PM Ahh, that sucks. :o
My parents don't sleep in the same room, so now I don't have to worry about it. When my sister was 4 or 5 she walked in on them, but I never did.

MandieR1980 02-08-2004, 01:52 PM my parents have been separated since 2000 and before that my dad slept on the sofa for YEARS so thank god I never walked in on that. I truly believe the last time they had sex I was concieved and I wanna go on believing that LOL:lol:
vienna waits 02-08-2004, 01:58 PM My parents make it so freaking obvious. All of the sudden in the middle of an evening they go to their room and lock the door. I don't care but it's really obvious. When I was kid they always did this to. I would sit outside the door and beg for them to come back out. (I guess I was bored). They would tell me how they couldn't because they were discussing Christmas presents! :rotflmao:
*Marilyn Monroe* 02-08-2004, 02:50 PM I'm soooo sorry you had to SEE that! I hear mine a lot, but I've never seen it. Ew.
I was conceived on New Year's Day of 1987. What a way to ring in the new year, huh?
#1_Nancy_McKeon 02-08-2004, 02:54 PM Sex doesn't really gross me out anymore. It's just the fact if I know when it's going on... That bothers me. lol I don't have to really hear it... just to know it's happening. haha I've personally never walked in on my parents, but they've been seperated/divorced for about six years. When I was 8 and my brother was 6... My brother couldn't find my Mom and Dad, and then he knocked on the door of the bathroom and oh my, they both answered...So he called 911 and told them his Mom and Dad were in the shower together. LOL Like it was some sort of emergency. That was one of the funniest things- we still tease him about that.
My Mom does have a boyfriend now though- I've never walked in on them, but my brother and my boyfriend (he lives with us) has. I remember one of my Mom's first boyfriends after she and my Dad was serperated he was staying the night and the door was open cause they were watching TV and I guess for some reason they decided to switch sides of the bed so he was going over her to get to the other side (they were pretty much dressed- keep this in mind), and my brother walked in right at that time, and almost had a mental breakdown- no joke. He started screaming like he just saw someone being killed and ran down the steps (tripped down a few) and ran out the front door slamming it behind him and down the street screaming at like 1a.m. in the morning. My Mom went and ran after him, and when she finally got him back in the house he was calling her names and stuff... Yeah, that was kinda tramautizing to wake up to. I didn't know what was going on.
So what to be grateful for is the fact that you don't react like my brother. Otherwise you might have had the Police at your house asking you questions about it. lol (Not that they actually came to our house though. They called back a few minutes later and my Mom answered and they told her if she was aware she was in the shower her kid's Dad. LOL)

I believe it. **** like that can really traumatize a child. Some kids just can't handle it and they won't.
And that incident with your brother calling 911 is hilarious.
