View Full Version : Which 2 "friends" are the least friends with eachother?
Christmas Snow 02-08-2004, 01:29 AM Who do u think?
I would say Chandler and Rachel. They don't really talk that much and Rachel seems to get annoyed with Chandlers jokes.
Microprosa 02-08-2004, 01:41 AM Phoebe and Chandler. They don't seem close at all. At least Rachel and Chandler have had some sweet moments together.
dandelion wine 02-08-2004, 02:09 AM Phoebe and Chandler have never appeared to be all that close to me, either.
Céline 02-08-2004, 10:56 AM Phoebe and Chandler.
EricIdlefan 02-08-2004, 11:48 PM Chandler & Phoebe and/or Rachel
Joey & Monica
Rachel & Chandler
Superbatboy 02-09-2004, 04:15 AM I'd say Ross and Phoebe. Or Phoebe and Chandler.
dynoguy88 02-09-2004, 04:16 PM Obviously all 6 friends love each other, but I have to agree that Phoebe and Chandler seem the least two that are closest.
There were several times where it seemed as though Phoebe didn't like Chandler at all. In the third season Thanksgiving episode (where they are all playing football in the park accross the street) they divide into their teams and huddle up. Instead of asking what play to run, Phoebe asks Joey and Monica what they REALLY thought of Chandler.
And in the episode where Phoebe finds out that Chandler and Monica are together, she says that them getting together is great for Chandler, but not for Monica because she could do better. Ouch!
But Chandler is often the butt of the gang's jokes because he teases them constantly with his sarcasm.
Of course, Phoebe and Chandler have had some decent moments together. In the first season, she helped Chandler break up with Janice when he was having trouble doing so (prompting Chandler to tell her, "We should always break up together!" and her replying "Oh, I would love that!" And she also helped him prepare for a job interview last season.
In any case, in this weeks episode, she gets married and Chandler is going to walk her down the aisle. The commercial showed him smiling at her in her wedding dress telling her that she was beautiful. Maybe the writers wanted him to walk her down the aisle to show that they were actually good friends even though it didn't always look like it.
GoldenFamilyTies 02-09-2004, 08:19 PM Ross & Phoebe!
90210 Dude 02-09-2004, 09:50 PM yeah I agree Phoebe and Chandler. If these were real people I can see those two drifting apart, if not for their group they would have ages ago.
Then again Phoebes is the loner of the group so it would be her with anyone really. She has so many secrets! I still want to know what she was doing in Chekloslovakia!

And also, I don't what the episode was called but it was the one where that lady(Amanda) went to England and came back and Monica walks into the apartment and tells Chandler,"were not friends with Pheobe anymore". And he says something like,"If she asks,I hesiatated a bit ,but ok!." It was probably meant for a joke but still.

LucyCompanyPhan 02-15-2004, 01:49 PM Chandler and Phoebe I'd say.
For those who say Ross and Phoebe I'd disagree. There are loads of storylines with them 2.
CanadianTac 02-23-2004, 09:01 PM I think I'd say that while they're all really close, the least close are Chandler and Rachel. I think that Phoebe and Chandler are closer than Rachel and Chandler.
Sarah
Alyssa08 02-26-2004, 06:27 PM phoebe & chandler, but after pheeb's wedding i dunno maybe rach 'n chandler.
esam E 03-24-2004, 07:13 PM Yeah i've have to agree with every body and say that pheobe and chandler wern't that next is rachel and chandler.:)
esam E 03-24-2004, 07:13 PM I meant wern't that close
SOCCERGIRL555 05-02-2004, 11:51 AM I think its Ross and Pheobe because there really different from eachother. Alot of the plots around the two of them are arguements like when they arguee about evolution. Another plot between the two of them was when Pheobe thought the cat was her mom and Ross thought it was rediculous that she would think that. There just too different.
Dean Winchester 05-02-2004, 02:59 PM I'd have to say Joey and Monica.
Chandler and Phoebe weren't the closest, but they were closer than you might remember. Phoebe is who helped Chandler pick out the engagement ring.
I can't really remember a real "moment" between Joey and Monica, but I can with all the others
SOCCERGIRL555 05-02-2004, 05:06 PM Pheebe and Chanler or rachel and Chanler:)
savy333 05-03-2004, 01:00 AM Chandler and Rachel. Have they ever had a storyline together, other then the one where they ate all the cheesecakes?

there was a "bonding" between them at the end of season 2 when Rachel found out her parents were splitting, and she had the 2 bday parties, and Chandler and her bonded because he knows what having divorced parents is like
Dean Winchester 05-03-2004, 03:32 AM has there been a Joey/Monica moment?
Céline 05-03-2004, 08:24 AM In the first year,Monica had a big crush on Joey when he moved in the apartment with Chandler. They even shared a kiss.In the Thanksgiving ep(with Brad Pitt):the two of them exchanged a funny moment when Joey said that he could eat all the food that she will cook. But,when Monica showed him the turkey that he had to eat,Joey had a scary look on his face:)
McFly121 05-04-2004, 05:38 PM Though only a few moments, Chandler and Pheebs singing Endless Love together was good.
The only real Joey and Monica thing I could think of is the flashback ep where Joey had first moved in. Mon goes to get him a drink or something and turns around to find Joey naked. "Here's your PENIS!!!"
GrandGame1440 05-05-2004, 12:48 PM C'mon, they're ALL VERY close to each other.
mad4mad 10-16-2004, 06:11 PM RACHEL AND CHANDLER!!!! I have always said that. Dude they dont talk!! Like if u think about it Monica-married to chandler, best friends with pheebs and rach, sister of ross, and just close with joey. joey- best friends with the guys, in love with rachel at one point, with phoebe on the stupidness, and close with mon. I mean I could go on and on but the bottom line is-->>Rachel and Chandler are not that close. I can only think of one moment together that they had by themselves. The episode when Chandler is handcuffed to Joannas desk and even in that theyre fighting!
GrandGame1440 10-16-2004, 07:14 PM You seem to be forgeting "TOW The Girl From Poughkeepsie." This is the time he tried to get her a date, and later in the same episode conforted her because it didn't work out. Also the time they kissed while he was in college, "TOW The Stripper Cries."
barwars 10-17-2004, 10:49 PM Chandler and Phoebe (which makes sense, seeing Chandler is my favorite character and Phoebe is the worst character)
slackermonkey 10-17-2004, 11:47 PM They're all really close, but I'd say either Joey and Monica or Chandler and Phoebe. Joey and Monica never seemed to have many scenes or stories together, whereas Phoebe got progressively mean toward Chandler in the later years (in a brother-sister teasing kind of way, but still). Those two were pretty close in the early years though, so maybe I'll just edge out Joey and Monica.
For those who say Rachel and Chandler, I don't think so. They've had a lot of cute moments over the years. Plus, it's been mentioned that the two of them have lunch together every day during work. I think that was first mentioned around season 3, and somewhere around season 7 they were still doing it.
CarJackSnyder 10-18-2004, 06:07 PM I'd say Chandler and Phoebe, out of all of them they were the ones you didn't always see together and like some of you are saying they made a lot of jokes about each other in a mean way.

Yeah, they did have a lot of cute moments together!!
byjw82 12-13-2004, 03:43 AM I would say Ross and Phoebe. I say this because they are so very different. Ross is so scientific and Pheebs is all about going with whatever she feels is right. I always felt that Ross just standed Pheebs but didn't really feel close to her like the others. I always felt that Pheebs felt that he was uptight.
slackermonkey 12-13-2004, 04:00 AM I can think of several little moments between Ross and Phoebe. She's certainly eager to push him and Rachel together.
They're all very close friends, it's just some are closer than others.
Superstar 12-13-2004, 02:17 PM Phoebe and Chandler
CarJackSnyder 01-27-2005, 06:28 PM I really don't know cause they each have many moments with each other. I thought Phoebe and Ross had tons of moments together just the two of them, plus she was always wanting Ross and Rachel to get back together. I guess I would have to say Chandler and Phoebe. You rarely saw them together just the two of them and Phoebe always acted like she hated Chandler with all the stuff she says about him. Like he doesn't make a good first impression and how she thought he was gay! :D
Buffy_Rules16 01-30-2005, 07:29 AM Id definatly say Phoebe and Chandler!
GrandGame1440 01-30-2005, 02:35 PM Once again, you guy seem to be forgeting Pheobe even named one of the babies after Chandler, and Chandler also walked her down the aiele at her wedding.
slackermonkey 01-31-2005, 12:23 AM Yes, but neither was her decision. She named the baby Chandler out of guilt because Chandler threatened to change his name, and Chandler ended up walking her down the aisle by process of elimination.
Chandler is closer to Rachel than to Phoebe.
shordie02 02-08-2005, 04:12 PM I'd say Ross and Phoebe. They don't usually have a whole lot to do with each other, not much interaction of a substantial nature.
ChanandMon 07-12-2006, 04:03 PM Phoebe and Chandler or Rachel and Chandler.
I actually think Phoebe and Ross are very close and should have hooked up.
CourteneyFan4ever 05-02-2007, 10:33 AM phoebe and chandler, without a doubt!
