Why do you think the only phone tag scene between Jack and Chrissy never made it to syndication? According to TVtome, that phone tag has never in syndication.

No phone tags (or any tag) ever made it into syndication in the U.S., other than Nick@Nite (TVLand/TNN). Nick@Nite only airs some tags. It depends on how important the tag is I guess for the episode and the number of minutes they need to cut for an episode.

Oh ok so local stations never aired the tags except for cable. I still always wondered between the three cable networks, TBS, TNN, and N@N, why they never showed the ONLY phone tag with Jack and 6 phone tags with Janet.

TBS never aired any tags. Only the Nick@Nite (with same airings on TV Land/TNN) cuts has tag scenes.

Nick@Nite has not showed all of the phone tags with Chrissy. They haven't showed one or two or so with Janet and Chrissy either. I have all the phone tags, which I got from an overseas trade.

NaN only airs 4 phone tags: in the middle of the episode of "room at the bottom", at the end of "Jack to the rescue", at the end of "Father of the Bride", and at the end of "Jack's other mother", I think.

N@N never showed the Phone Tag for the episode-Father of the Bride. In that paticular phone tag, Chrissy was telling Janet that her own cousin didn't invite her to the wedding. That has never been on N@N.

Some people are saying the tag scenes were never shown on anywhere else but Nick-at-Nite in the States, yet they aren't all complete? Where is everyone finding which phone tags aren't shown on Nick-at-Nite? From a website? Or....? Am I understanding this? Well hopefully we will see the season 5 phone tags before 2006 on DVD. Since season 2 is coming in May, my prediction for season 5 on DVD is 2006, maybe 2007.

The Tag scene is usually the 10-20 second scene at the end of the episode that usually has nothing to do with the storyline. So in season 5, Chrissy was demoted to phone scene instead of being on the set due to contract issues. So most of the tag scenes in season 5 would include Chrissy calling Janet to talk on the phone about whatever and then the closing credits would start to roll after that. So it was considered a PHONE TAG because it was a scene at the end of the episode involving a phone conversation. Hope that helps.

On which episode did Chrissy call and talk to Jack? The only ones I've ever seen she is talking to Janet. According to the TC book, John couldn't really do them because his anger with Suzanne would seep though.

Well they were not really on the phone together so I don't think Ritter's anger with Suzanne would have been a issue.

Yeah. I remember reading about the phone tags in the TV tome ep guide. I was surprised to hear about them, because I remember watching the show in syndication. I thought once Cindy moved in, she was the only blonde roommate on the show. Though, I do remember seeing a phone tag one on ep before Cindy moved in. I can't remember the title, but it was the one where Jack pretends to be another person to get a job as a chef or something like that. I guess that's the only syndicated ep that left a phone tag in. I'll have to watch Nick at Nite more often.

Chrissy was telling Jack about a letter she wrote to them but hadn't mailed yet. And jack said well since we are on the phone you can tell me and Chrissy says "that a great idea" and runs to stop her father from mailing the letter and hangs up the phone.

There was no Phone Tag before Cindy Moved In. The episode you are talking about is after Cindy Moves in.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there was one phone tag before Cindy moved in. Let's check the ep guide. Here is the information I found at the TV tome website for the episode "Room at the Bottom"...

Suzanne Somers calls home for the first time.
Suzanne has her first phone-in tag. This is the last episode to air without a third roommate in the house.

I actually remember that one pretty well. Janet wanted somebody to go with her to the restaurant where Jack was cooking or something like that and then Mr. Furley came in, she said to Chrisssy that she has to hang up since her idea just walked in or something like that. Cindy didn't move in until the next episode.

N@N never showed that Phone Tag. Only ABC

I remember that scene very well too. But I'm not sure if that could be considered a TAG scene because it did not occur at the end of the episode. The scene occurred in the middle of the episode. Janet told Chrissy that Jack got a job as a chef (actually a busboy) at an expensive restaurant and Janet really wanted to eat at the restaurant but couldn't afford it. Chrissy suggested that Janet find someone to take her. Janet rebutted by saying there was no who would had nothing better to do and who could afford it. At that point, Mr. Furley walked in and Janet had to hang up, saying Chrissy's idea just walked into the door.

My mistake, you are right. That was not a phone tag scene it was in the middle of the episode. I remember Janet saying to Chrissy on the phone, "YOUR Idea just walked in Chrissy" as Mr. Furley walked in and then she hung up without saying goodbye
