Who do you think is better at playing Michelle Tanner in Seasons 2-5? MaryKate or Ashley? I really don't know, I just wanted to ask what other people thought.

Maybe...I liked Ashley just a little bit more. MaryKate was still good too.

Ashley is a bit snobby now, but I like mary-kate playing michelle. Plus we wouldn't want an elf to be Michelle would we?(just kidding)

How can you tell the difference? When I watch the show, I never know which is which.

I can only tell them apart sometimes, Daffyfan2004. The only way I really knew how to tell them apart when they were little is by their ears. Ashley had pointer ears. Other than that, it wasn't easy to tell them apart.

The producers liked Ashley better, and to me it seems like she was in much more episodes when they were older than Mary-Kate. Did you all notice this too, or is it just me? I like Mary-Kate better.

It wouldn't be all that nice to say who's better, but I really like both of them.

One way I could tell them apart is when they are writing. If you haven'y noticed, Ashley is right-handed while Mary-Kate is a Lefty.

I rather chose both in which they each played Michelle Tanner.

Though they look very much alike, when they play next to each other you can see the difference. Ashley has a more angular face. Mary Kate's is rounder and cuter, IMO.

I liked when they played both.

How You Can Tell Mary-Kate and Ashley Apart-

*Ashley has a frekle on her right cheek, mary-kate has one above her lip under her nose
*Ashley is two inches taller than Mary-Kate.
*Ashley is right-handed, Mary-Kate is left-handed
*Ashley has a little wider eyes than Mary-Kate does
*Ashley has a little darker hair than mary-Kate does

Well Ashley used to have darker hair then Mary-Kate. Not anymore though. lol.

Actually the producers wanted to keep Mary-Kate and in the beginning most of the scenes were done by Mary-Kate. Mary-Kate has always done better with acting in my opinion...she was the one nominated for an Emmy too. They're easy to tell apart. Ashley's eyes are bigger and her hair is a tad bit darker. I believe Mary-Kate usually had the scenes where she had to be funny and spunky.

Oh and btw - quick fact. Even Mary-Kate and Ashley can't always tell who is who on Full House. lol

I voted for "Both" because I honestly cannot tell them apart if they are not side-by-side and using their real names (i.e. "Two of a Kind"). I just know that the twin finding the cookie in the episode "Mad Money" is Marky-Kate because Jeff Franklin mentioned that in the commentary for the episode. And, Mary-Kate was used most during season one, and Ashley was used most during season two. ;)

I thought they both did a good job. I could never tell which on was playing her in which scenes. I know there's the ear thing, but I'm thinking about non-psysical features. Like I don't think either of them had a different way of acting. They were both good with that.
