I heard on the news today that some 12 year old kid in a local little town, took some seizure medication to school, along with hydrocodone, and some anti-depressants, that he stole from his parents. He then handed them out to other kids at school who took them. Then a bunch of these kids started getting sick and throwing up and hallucinating. :eek3: WTF! I would never take some random pills that some kid brought to school. How stupid are these kids? :rolleyes:

They're 12. The kid might have pressured them into taking the pills, or said it would be cool, or said it would have a different effect, they might not have known better, hell the kids could be potheads and wanted to try something new. Now, if you said that they were 16-17 and this happened, that'd be a different story. 12 year olds are still naive about a lot. And did they say what kind of kids he gave them too? I mean, for all you know he could have passed them out to all the kids in Special Ed. Just b/c you and I and lots of the other people on the boards have enough sense, some people just aren't raised well enough.

yeah, they were 12-14 ya know junior high age. It's just so stupid i guess getting sick and caught is punishment enough to learn not to do it again. Let's hope.

I just wanted to post this for any kids here. Please don't take some pills from kids even if they say it's extacy or whatever. It's just too dangerious. ;)

Yeah, speaking of 12 year olds doing stupid things.... tonight around 11 maybe we got this prank phone call from these girls. Well, I was sleeping when it happened but my mom said the girl said something like "This is the playboy hotline...." and then some explicit stuff I shouldn't say on here. Well, I don't know if the girl was 12 but my mom assumes it. So, these girls were bored and making prank calls. My mom said like "keep going I want to hear more", being sarcastic, of course, seeing what they would do. They didn't say anymore, then she said "I can trace this call" to scare them. Then they hung up. Well, no prank phone calls are worth tracing unless the person says they have a gun/threaten to kill you and know where you live. THEN I'd call the police. Yeah, that's 12 year olds for you!

Theyre 12 years old. If they didnt know what it was, maybe thats a sign that they shouldnt take it. Hello! :rolleyes: When I was 12 I didnt know every drug out there, but I had half a brain to know whats stupid. Duuuur.

My brother's 13 and he does have SOME common sense! 12 is pretty young, but it's old enough to know better.

Recently there was this big arrest at our town Middle Schoo, students were selling Adderall to other students. Now, if you didn't know but taking Adderall if you do not have ADD or ADHD can be falat, it speeds up your heart to a scary level. So the kids selling were arrested... c'mon, middle schoolers, it's insane... and they even suspect the selling of Adderall to be going on at my High School...

i know for a fact people sell adderall at my highschool, since ive been offered it numerous times...people need to get lives.

Kids do that all the time here. They think it's cool to take drugs even if they don't know what they are or what theeffects of the drugs are. They do sometimes just so they can fit in or because their friends do. Most of them are morons.

C'mon, people. I'm 13, and I have way more sense than to take somebody else's pills! :rolleyes: Don't make it like 12-14 year olds are stupid! We're certainly not. This was just dumb on the part of those kids. ohno:

That's true. There is a bunch of kids from 15-19 at my highschool and they still do stuff like that. Most of the time age doesnt matter, people will do dumb things anyway.

I don't know about these kids, but I was taught not to take things from strangers, especially pills. I mean, come on! Even at 12 I would have known better!

As most of you have already said, these kids are only 12. My brother is 12 and he has much more common sense than that but at 12 many kids are still naive about a lot of things. But of course there are also plently of "older" teenagers who still continue to do stupid stuff that they did when they were in middle school.

Ok, in the beginning, when I first replied, it may have seemed like I was implying that all 12 year olds are stupid. I'm 14, I know that not all 12 year olds are stupid and that a good amount of 12 year olds would know better. And I know that 2 years ago a ton of 12 year olds would have enough common sense not to take the pills, but I can also think of a ton of specific people in MY SCHOOL (which is one of the top 3% schools in the country) who would not know any better and take those pills.

but most of them are though. they're in that stage between childhood and puberty. I know I was really stupid at 12, probably more than I should have been.

They go through our lockers randomly once a month because of a coke bust a few months back. It really sucks. You can just have a pack of cigs in there and they'll suspend you for it.

Our school used to do that but it enevr helped, so they stopped doing it.

personally i dont even think the fact the kids were 12 makes much of a difference. sure, they're naive in ways...but come on you know what it is. someone says these pills makes you cool...someone else wants to be cool so they take the pills.

its pretty simple really. is it right? of course not...

I'm 12 and im not that stupid to take drugs, (but im not saying im not stupid because i know I am :D) "Yay, I'm gunna take this pill, puke my brains out, and get expelled! Then I'll go home and be grounded for the rest of my life!:doh: :bonk:" Some people in this world dont stop to think about that they're doing and what the concequences are going to be. It's just a matter of common sense.

As they should. Cigarettes are a health threat not only to the person who smokes them, but also to others. They are merely looking out for the greater good.

yah a few years ago, when I was a freshman, these kids in middle school were arrested for pot, like smoking, possession...I was like are you serious?

when I was that age I was wicked naive and like, I am never goin smoke, or do anying....jk now

Well.. you get what I mean, hopefully.

A lot of people are stupid dumbasses, but their age has nothing to do with it. Just beacuse 12 is young is no reason to think they're all stupid and go, "Oh, well, she was 12, you can't really say anything" or whatever. Thankfully I won't be 12 much longer.

All of you people who say that "I'm 13, I have better sense then that" The jump from 12 to 13 is a huge step. A 12-year olds are still naive because they are children. 13 year olds are teenagers. A difference.

I wished that I was in-between the ages of 18-21!! The fun years for me!!

im 13 and i would never do something that idiotic. and why the hell would the thought of it being estacy would change my mind?
