What new and upcoming US sitcoms will eventually replace Friends, Frasier and Sex In The City for us viewers in the UK? We love these shows, and I'm worried there's nothing as good that's going to cross the Atlantic to keep making us laugh. Can US viewers put my mind at rest, please? What's currently on that's as funny - and what's in the pipeline?

maybe an edition of Survivor Lochness in the UK is coming!

just kiddin, Joey Tribiani is getting his own show! , Wil and Grace is pretty good. but you're right , after 30 years of watching All in the Family, 3s Company, Cheers, Seinfeld, Friends, ..etc I think the well is running dry.

NONE!!!

Friends and Sex And The City are irreplacible. The next few months are going to be so hard since those are 2 of my all time fave sitcoms, and certainly my top 2 that are still on. The sitcom will never be the same after these 2 shows are gone.

Not a big Frasier fan, but I do think the end of that show is major too.

Here My Guess That Might replace Friends & Frasier 2004-05
so far

Tuesday
8:00 Whoopi/???
8:30 Happy Family/???
9:00 Scrubs
9:30 ???
10:00 Law & Order SVU

Thursday
8:00 Joey
8:30 ???/
9:00 Will & Grace
9:30 The Office
10:00 ER

Note 50/50 Chance
Whoopi Happy Family May or May not get Pick Up

Good Morning Miami I Think it has a 75% Chance of not come in back beacuse NBC Almost Never Air the Show and The Tracy Morgan is I Think 5 or 6 Shows But if they are getting the same the same Ratings this week The Show 99% Chance it Will be Canceled

Unless the new Joey sitcom is really good, I don't think there are any sitcoms to replace Friends and Fraiser. There will be a huge void when these shows end. I personally like Scrubs, but it is an off-beat comedy that doesn't appeal to as wide of an audience so I don't see it as a replacement. And I feel that Will and Grace hasn't been near as good lately. 8 Simple Rules is pretty good but I think it is struggling since John Ritter's death. It seems like the new comedies are mostly just mediocre. I don't know. We shall see I guess.

The one think I do know is that, no matter what sitcoms come along, I'm really going to miss Friends!

We already have Scrubs over here in the UK and it has done quite well, but it doesnt have a very mainstream or wide audience although it could well on a more mainstream channel or if it replaced the Friends timeslot.

Actually, I've been wondering the same thing here in the U.S.

NBC will be facing some trouble this May when thier top two sitcoms say bye bye, because they haven't been trying to find a replacement. With the exception of "Scrubs," NBC hasn't had a decent new show in a few years.

The only new comedy I think is brilliant is "Arrested Development" on FOX. Great cast, very funny, but it's on FOX, so they'll probably cancel it any day now. They wouldn't know a great comedy if it bit em.

Friends, Frasier, and Sex In The City will still come on in syndication here in the US. I don't know if those shows air in syndication in the UK.
