Bweir told me about Mr and Mrs and he sure was right, and i also LOVE Lucy Calls The President for the reunion of the old gang one last time. Lucy Gets Lucky with Dean Martin is vintage Lucy. Lucy also excelled on a Carol Burnett special called Carol Plus Two where the famous Goodbye Baby sketch originated, no wonder this special served as the pilot for Carol's long running variety show, it was so well written and executed. Oh and Lucy in London is so different. What now Catharine Curtis is heavy on the drama, and if you want lots of laughs, check out the Dean Martin roast of Lucy. Foster Brooks who always pretended to be the drunk on those roasts comes out as Lucy's old college boyfriend and he turns to her and says LUCE which could be read as LOOSE and then adds that that is what the football team used to call her. The Look Lucy gives him, from annoyed shock to flat out guffaw is priceless and that alone is worth the price of the tape.

Out of the ones I've seen, I would have to say Mr and Mrs or Lucy Calls the President. I thought Vivian Vance was hilarious in that one. :)

Yes, she didn't look that great, but she was vintage Ethel all right, i loved her in it. The eating thing was a riot. Of the 50 state eggs, she DID only eat Kansas though! LOL!

Carol + 2 !!! (just kidding. I like the baby sketch.) My favorite interview is the one with Joan Rivers where she's wearing the peach colored pant suit. :) (Just in case anyone was wondering.)

Then maybe I'll have to adjust MINE, because to me it comes off as a light purple. I thought Lucy looked really nice, and I like that interview, too. Thanks again for putting it on my tape, Claude. :)

Wasn't it one of the best interviews you ever saw, with her at least! You should see her on that great Merv Griffin show, it was even better, the whole show about her! And Bob Hope and Gary and the kids were on also!

Is that the one where Gary spills the water?

I don't remember that, then again, i'm not usually watching Gary on these things.

He was telling a story about how Lucy was at home and he spilled water on her shoe or something. And that's okay if you want to watch Gary! :happyface

I'll have to watch it again, i remember one Merv Griffin show where Gary came out and he wasn't scheduled so he was dressed too casually and Lucy was not pleased. She'd freak out if she saw how they get dressed these days for talk shows!
