MonarC 02-04-2004, 12:35 PM How do you think TV will be like...
Im thinking nudity cussing the whole 9 yards... and you can edit out what you dont want to see with some sort of V-chip thingy...
I am Him 02-04-2004, 12:42 PM I believe television will be mostly news, documentaries and reality shows.
Internet and video games will provide the bulk of the entertainment.
MonarC 02-04-2004, 02:13 PM Reality Shows are going to be everywhere. What about commercials? I bet they will get shorter.
Georgia's on my Mind 02-04-2004, 03:54 PM i hope all reality shows are gone by then/.
Penny Lane 02-04-2004, 03:57 PM I sure hope that TVLand will still be there!
Hollow 02-04-2004, 04:05 PM IT WILL BE GAE.

Screw you. My favorite two shows are reality shows. Quality entertainment.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 02-04-2004, 04:30 PM Reality shows will take over ohno: comercials if anything will be longer...hell, they'll probably make the comercials into tv shows. And you'll probably get to choose what you want to watch whenever you want to watch it, any episode of anything ever on tv. Invented that in 5th grade
Rhiannon 02-04-2004, 04:37 PM I don't think there will be TV. It'll be something far better.
MonarC 02-04-2004, 06:10 PM very interesting ideas.
What about nudeity do you think that will be more accepted in the future.
Hollow 02-04-2004, 06:20 PM it will be full of stupid reality ****. goddamnit that crap is so pointless. i wanna be one those people that rate the shows and give them all -1000000000000000000000's.
Chad22 02-04-2004, 06:30 PM I Think itll be somewhat the same. Maybe some New ideas and concepts.
Reality Shows will have their own channel Like Game Show Network, And Wont be anywhere near as big as they are now.
Sitcoms and Dramas will of course be around.
Nick At Nite wil be Airing 4 episodes of The Cosby Show a Night.
I Think TV Will be a little more Interactive in the future as wel.
I'm sure FOX will still be airing "The Simpsons."
;)
Jokerette 02-04-2004, 07:42 PM I think TV will be a 1000 times worse than it is right now, if that's even possible.

There already is a reality station.

I, too, think it will be just about the same. Think of TV back in the 1950's.. new technology and more acceptance with things. I think itll be just about the same. Yeah, 50 years is long away, but you have to remember people in the 1950's thought we'd be flying cars by now..
EricIdlefan 02-04-2004, 09:35 PM TV was all black & white and when we are senior citizens (hopefully not too soon though!!) there will probably be over a billion channels to choose from!!

Hmm... Isn't that what we have right now?
I think that it will definitely be interactive. Programming will include all types of genres. Commercials... Longer, probably. The USA should adopt the cluster method of commercials, where they show a bunch at the beginning and end of a program, without breaking into the show. With long movies etc, they could include an "intermission" break with another cluster of ads in the middle of the show.
Janice 02-05-2004, 03:36 AM I'll probably still be sitting here posting away. :typing:
Eddie Haskell 02-05-2004, 03:54 AM I'll be reading your posts while sitting here with two different color socks on. :D
My face will look like Burt Mustin's left nut.

I'm sure you will recognize Burt! He was on almost every TV show ever produced! He must have made a fortune as a character actor! Good old Burt.:D
Burt Mustin 1884-1977 RIP:(
EricIdlefan 02-05-2004, 02:46 PM He never had a show of his own but was on over 2,000-3,000 shows both dramas and sitcoms because the TV Land Network payed tribute to him in the early 1990's!!

I'm glad that TV Land did a tribute to him. He deserved it!
spunkygirl 02-05-2004, 11:49 PM In 50 years, I doubt there will be television, and IF there is, I see reality shows being a thing of the past, IMO reality shows are a fad, that will eventually fade :)
I think commercials will be gone, and that there will less focus on shows we consider classics now, that the shows we watch now will be classics(make sense? :) )

MonarC 02-06-2004, 08:56 PM no commercials would be great. :D
I guess in 50 years Television, computers and your home will be fully integrated. You'll be able to watch programs, check e-mail or work from home with the computer and run your house with one giant screen.
Maybe by then my neighborhood will have high speed internet connections.
;)

Brent88 04-17-2004, 08:29 PM I'll be 65(actually 66) in 50 years. OMG...
I don't want to think about what the world will be like then. I think planes will fly by computers, no pilots, computers will be a lot more sophiscated(might even clean house and work for you).
Ewan's My Man 04-18-2004, 12:54 AM Well if I had it my way Jennifer Garner would still be kicking ass on Alias. Ok...so 80 and being a member of the CIA is pushing it and half the cast members would be...dead...oh leave me alone.
barwars 04-18-2004, 02:55 PM I think commercials will be obsolete.... but rather thered be advertising within the TV show.
Say the character turns on the TV.... theres a clip from a show that airs maybe in the next time slot.
Characters will wear Nike or whatever clothes -- and that is the advertising rather than a commercial.
I think TV will become much more "on demand"
Once an episode of a show airs -- you can watch it whenever you want.
TV will become much more like the internet. Everything will be intigrated.
And of course.... we'll still all be watching the classics.
MonarC 04-18-2004, 03:33 PM what about robots as actors.
dawsongirl 04-21-2004, 01:43 AM It'll be a vast wasteland. And they thought the 60s was bad.
