Starting this Saturday, Feb. 7, TV Land will drastically change its line-up. For the full line-up changes, go to the General Sitcoms board to see the February thread.

Family Ties will now just air Mon-Sat at 11 p.m. ET/PT. Ratings probably had a lot to do with it. It's too bad it never did well on TV Land or Nick@Nite.

Well, I said that a few days ago, and FT was still on 4 times a day. I was assuming it was doing well since TV Land hadn't made any changes--but now we know it wasn't. At least it'll still air at 11 p.m.

I like the show and was glad it came to TV Land, but *I* think it must have done REALLY lousy to have all but one airing cut.

TV Land and N@N are consistently the worst run stations on cable as far as keeping a consistent schedule. The other networks I watch are so much better.

This is very disappointing, if not expected.

The Munsters replacing Family Ties?!?!:eek2:

TV Land would have to personally tell me that the Munsters is a better ratings getter than FT for me to believe it. I can understand All in the Family; however, it was on quite enough before these changes.

TV Land didn't give it a chance at all. This schedule has only been around for 1 month... :mad:

But remember...We still have it on at one good time slot, which is what we wanted from N@N forever.

That definately sucks. Maybe tvland.com just hasn't fixed their schedule for FT to match the new schedule? I hope, lol...

TV Guide Online still has Family Ties scheduled to air in its normal time slots after Feb 7th...but I suppose we should go by the info on the official TV Land site. :confused: This really bites, as I just recently statrted getting into this show, and now its being downsized on TV Land. I grew up watching this show with my parents on NBC when I was a kid, but now i'm old enough to fully appreciate the series, and am enjoying it more than ever. If it really is being downsized to Mon-Sat at 7PM...that is not good. Who knows how long TV Land will keep FT as part of their lineup.

I can't stand how certain shows like Roseanne, Cheers, Full House, The Cosby Show and All in the Family are currently aired several times a day, and on multiple channels to boot...but Family Ties gets the shaft. Oh well, here's hoping the series is released on DVD in the near future. Last I checked, it had a high rating on tvshowsondvd.com so who knows...it could happen.

Well, according to my clock, Family Ties is on in about 7 minutes, so i'm off to watch...

This really angers me. I hate it when shows skip or go out of order. I am afraid though, that they might just be quickening the pace of the series so that it can be eliminated as soon as they air one complete season.

It will be on too late for me to see it.
