Did you like Buffy's last season?

I voted no, tho my vote would've been more on the "it was okay, but definately one of the weakest seasons" if you had more options than yes or no.

season 7 had some okay episodes, but I do think it was the worst season, even worse than season 1, as a whole. It got off to a great start, but once they got into the "First Evil" storyline, it went straight downhill. And I did not like all the potential slayers who stole storylines away from Willow, Xander and Anya.

However, the series finale made up for a mostly lackluster season.

Yes and no. There were great episodes in the season I like, but I hated that Willow went on with Kennedy. I can not stand Kennedy. She was awful with Willow.

The best part of season 7 is Xander losing his eye. Being an Anya fan more than a Xander fan, I thought it was great for him to get hurt like that. I still think it should have been him that died and not Anya.

No. After a promising beginning, it went straight downhill.

The writers and Joss basically ignored the end of season 6, which would have been either a great way to end the series or been a solid foundation for season 7. It was also too dark (something I have noted on another thread) and dreary.

I am ashamed to admit this (OK, not really :) ) but of the 12 combined seasons of Buffy and Angel, it is the only one I don't have on DVD yet. Eventually I'll get a set, but there's no overwhelming urge to get one immediately, like there was with the other seasons.

I was disappointed with season 7. It just seemed like a totally different show, and I had one hell of a time trying to keep up with all of the potential slayers because new ones just kept appearing. "Chosen", the series finale, was bad. To me, it seemed an awful ending for BtVS.

I loved Kennedy and Willow though (HOT!) and I think that Sarah Michelle Gellar looked her absolute best in season 7.

Yeah. I mean it had it's faults but I liked how it went back to the High School. It had a great big bad :)

It was..alright. I think they could have done more things. The worst part for me, for season 7, was that they sort of shifted the show away from the characters. They had alot more plot-driven shows. The "Potentials" got waaaay too much TV-Time. The "Scoobies" were sidelined.

Apparantley I already voted yes on this one as well. I'd say though one of it's weaker seasons, it is still better than most other shows best season.

Yep. Better than any CHARMED season out there!

well, I personally do like Charmed, not to the extent I like Buffy, but enough to own the good years on DVD (which were season 1-4 IMO), but one major difference between the two is that Joss and Gellar ended Buffy when they realized quality was starting to slip but was still very good (season 7 was still very good, just not amazing like earlier seasons), so they gave it a grand sendoff and the show is becoming a modern day classic, while Charmed has been on a downward spiral the past few years. I still like watching a new episode every now and again, but its days of being in the same catagory as Buffy ended some time ago IMO.

Totally Agree. Charmed was in it's prime during the first four seasons. This season has been okay, especially with the whole Leo being taken away and now there's some sort of big huge battle that's coming soon. Still, it never has, nor never will be as good as Buffy The Vampire Slayer :)

I liked the final season. The sense of impending doom was handled pretty well. I like the idea of the potential slayers, but it really did cut down on the other actor's screentime. In my opinion, that in this season there shouild have been more focus on the main characters, especially Willow, Giles, and Xander. The Willow/Kennedy relationship was okay, but did come a little bit too soon after the events in the final episodes of Season Six. One thing I really loved though, is the Spike/Buffy interaction throughout the season, especially in "Touched." "Chosen" is one of my all-time favorite episodes, and was just about the perfect way to end the series, in my opinion. It left me wanting more.

That was my problem too! I didn't like that they shifted away from Willow, Xander, Giles, and Anya.

The season did have some pretty great episodes though. It was also good to see Buffy and Angel reunite again!

And I loved Caleb! That guy was hysterical!

The Potentials complained too much and I hated Empty Places. That episode was awful.

I thought in Season Seven, Buffy lost it's way. Hence my "No" vote up top. Xander losing an eye was too obvious and brutal, I HATED Willow and Kennedy, and I just felt like the "heart" had left the show.

The only good part of Season Seven? Bringing Faith back in a more "law-abiding" form. I LOVED Bad Faith, but it was great to see the result of her road to redemption. The other good part was in "Chosen," where Spike STEALS THE SHOW right out from under Sarah Michelle Gellar's shoes. That was great. :)

Oh you and your Faith! ;)

Something negative: I HATED that Willow and Kennedy relationship too. Probably the worst on the whole show.

Something positive: I think Andrew was a great addition to the Scoobies.

Another reason I wasn't that in love with season 7 was because almost every single episode took place in the Summer's house. They hardly ever left it!

And the house was always dark during that season!

You're right about the house. I never really noticed that before.

I found that season 7 (and 6) didn't always have quite the same snappy banter that seasons 1-5 did, but I still enjoyed it. As people on this thread have said before, often the worst episode of Buffy was still better than the best episodes of some of these new shows on now!
