sure.... this'll be the THIRD actress to portray her.... but at least she isn't forgotten!

2-3
Freudian Sleep
Strange dreams dominate this episode, which finds Frasier wed to Daphne, now a vociferous eater; Niles a carefree philanderer, dallying with bikini-clad repairwomen; and Martin a dashing hoofer, performing with Ronee (Wendie Malick).

2-24
"Caught in the Act"
FRASIER NEEDS A NANNY; LAURIE METCALF GUEST STARS -- When Roz (Peri Gilpin) finds out that Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) was once married to child entertainer Nanny G (guest star Laurie Metcalf, "Roseanne"), she begs him to get tickets to the performer's sold out concert for her daughter Alice (Ashley Thomas). The tickets are granted and although Nanny G is remarried, Frasier and his ex-wife must fight off a physical attraction that still exists between them. John Mahoney, Jane Leeves, and David Hyde Pierce also star.

3-2 "Boo"
CLOWNING AROUND -- WENDIE MALICK ("JUST SHOOT ME") GUEST STARS -- Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) dons a clown costume to cure a clown-a-phobic patient (guest star Stephanie Faracy), but he ends up frightening Martin (John Mahoney) and causing him to have a "mild cardiac event." This health crisis leads Martin to re-evaluate his relationship with his girlfriend Ronee (guest star Wendie Malick, "JUST SHOOT ME"). David Hyde Pierce, Peri Gilpin and Jane Leeves also star.

I read that Emma Thompson was originally scheduled to play her, but apparently pulled out b/c of "nanny issues." Also, what happened to "Match Game?" The episode number puts it before "Freudian Sleep," and though I know it's not uncommon for them to be shuffled around a little, it seems to be airing WAY out of order. . .

I'm a little disappointed that Emma Thompson won't be reprising her role as Nanny Gee. She was the best. IMO.

I saw a preview for the Nanny G episode last night during SNL.

Luckily.... she hasnt changed her look.
Her "act" features the same style costume as in "One Hugs, The Other Doesn't".... which is possibly the greatest Cheers episode.

OHh god.
I hate when characters have to "re-evaluate" something.
Well, all I know is the Martin is getting married!!

the best line was:

"Do you know what it's like to play a character for 20 years?"

*audience laugh as do I*

I agree--that was a nice one. Also, I liked the actress--maybe not as good as Emma, but definitely a close second:)

yes, that was a great line, and a great show:D :D !! I really thought that last scene was HILARIOUS when he was forced into being a part of her show, wearing that diaper & bonnet!!!:D :D :D

But who was the second one to play her??? I know Emma Thompson did on "Cheers" that time, but I didn't know someone else also did.

Yes there were three actresses who played Nanny G. The second one wasn't a big name like Thompson and Metcalf.

Frasier W. Crane

CLASSIC CLASSIC CLASSIC!

That episode made me laugh so hard! I couldn't believe all the 'funniness' put into that episode! 10 out of 10 is a definate rating!

I thought it was great.

Although Im probably in the minority when I say the last scene was the worst.
It was just so "un-Frasier" for him to be caught on stage with the diaper.

While watching the whole episode I was waiting for Nanny G to bust out -- "Tickle your tummy, like is kind of yummy, tickle your tummy.... and laugh a lot"

haha.... Nanny G kicks ass.
